However, he gave his fans a major update earlier in 2025 when reports went rife that the cricketer was making some big developments in his personal life. The news soon confirmed that Rinku Singh was all set to take his relationship with Priya Saroj to the next level by tying the knot. Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj's first meeting

Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj have been under the limelight since the reports about their relationship broke out. However, many wonder how the duo crossed paths while being from two entirely different walks of life. Priya Saroj is the daughter of three times MP and current MLA of Uttar Pradesh, Tufani Saroj and Rinku Singh's father, Khanchandra Singh, worked at an LPG distribution company. So, a common friend played the cupid in their love story.

Priya Saroj was introduced to Rinku Singh by her friend. For the unversed, this friend's father was also a cricketer, making them the common link between the two. However, their love story was not that of love at first sight. They had known each other for over a year, during which their friendship blossomed. Considering their feelings for each other, the duo decided to take their relationship to the next level with the respective families' consent.

Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj's marriage was fixed in January 2025

Soon after, Rinku Singh and Priya Saroj talked to their respective families about their desire to marry each other. The two families got together at the cricketer's home in Aligarh, where they exchanged shagun and gifts, marking their matrimonial alliance. The news was confirmed by Priya's father, SP MLA from Kerakat, Tufani Saroj, while speaking to PTI in February 2025.

Tufani told the news house that his family had some meaningful talks with the cricketer's father in Aligarh on January 16, 2025, for their children's marriage, and both families had agreed to it. However, so far, no official wedding date has been shared with the media or the fans, hinting that, like other celebrity couples, their wedding might also be a hush-hush affair. In a conversation with PTI, Priya's father, Tufani, was quoted as saying:

"Rinku and Priya have known each other for more than a year now. They both liked each other but needed the consent of their families for their relationship. Both the families have agreed to this marriage."

Priya Saroj hails from Karkhiyaon village, Varanasi, UP, and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the prestigious Delhi University. Following this, Priya earned a law degree from Amity University, Noida, and worked as a Supreme Court lawyer for some time. However, her calling was something else, and she soon quit the practice to become a politician. 

Priya Saroj first shot to fame while campaigning in the 2022 Uttar Pradesh Assembly polls for her father. She has been a member of SP for several years and, in 2024, was elected as a Lok Sabha member from Machhlishahr constituency, Jaunpur district, at just 25 years old, marking her name in the history of politics as the youngest female MP.
