Rajiv Kapoor was an actor, film producer and film director. He was best known for his lead role in the film, Ram Teri Ganga Maili. Along with this, he produced three movies, including Henna, Prem Granth and Aa Ab Laut Chalen, under the RK Films banner. However, the actor left for the heavenly abode on February 9, 2021, leaving a void in the entire Kapoor family. However, they have always treasured him in their hearts and taken full care of his assets.
The youngest son of Raj Kapoor, Rajiv Kapoor owned a 2,379 square-foot apartment along with three parking slots in Godrej RKS in Mumbai. As per a report in The Free Press Journal, the apartment's market value is almost Rs. 10.6 crores. The actor purchased the apartment with a carpet area of 2,018 square-foot in December 2020. And despite paying a certain amount while booking the apartment, a balance was yet to be paid by the legendary Bollywood actor.

Rajiv suffered a cardiac arrest before losing his life in February 2021. Post his death, Kareena and Karisma Kapoor's daddy, Randhir Kapoor, and his sister, Rima Jain were the only heirs and legal representatives of Rajiv Kapoor's assets. And since Randhir and Rima hold an equal share of Rajiv's assets, it was claimed in various reports that the former decided to transfer and release his share to his sister.

Thus, a release deed was registered between the doting siblings, Rima and Randhir on July 9, 2023, regarding the shared assets of the late Rajiv Kapoor. And now, Rima will get her late brother, Rajiv’s flat at RK Studio, being developed by Godrej Properties in Chembur.
