Richa Chadha Shares Her Take On Radhika Yadav's Murder, Calls Radhika's Father, Deepak A 'Loser'

Tennis player, Radhika Yadav, was a resident of a resident of Sushant Lok area in Sector 57, Gurugram, who was shot dead by her father. The chilling murder has sent shock waves throughout the nation. Several angles are coming up ever since the news of Radhika’s tragic death surfaced online. However, Bollywood actress, Richa Chadha has reacted to the same. Taking to her X handle (formerly Twitter), the actress has condemned the crime committed by Radhika’s father, Deepak Yadav. For the unversed, Radhika was shot dead by her father, Deepak Yadav, with a licensed pistol on July 10, 2025.

On July 13, 2025, Richa Chadha took to her X handle (formerly Twitter) and shared her take on the ongoing debate involving the 25-year-old state-level tennis player, Radhika’s shocking death. Some condemned the accused, Radhika’s father, Deepak, while some justified what led Deepak to kill his own daughter. Sharing a video made by Radhika’s friend, Himaanshikha Singh Rajput, Richa wrote:

"There is no honour in killing your own child. If a few wagging tongues said stuff to him earlier, now the whole world will remember Deepak Yadav as a loser, forever. Deepak Yadav, you have cemented your place as a LOSER and a COWARD in the annals of history."

Soon after Radhika’s shocking murder case surfaced on the internet, Himaanshikha Singh Rajput, who claimed to be the best friend of the former, shared that the national-level tennis player had many restrictions in her home. She expressed that she had known Radhika for more than eight to nine years. She shared how the player had to explain everything at home and couldn’t stand her independence. Explaining what Radhika had to go through, Himaanshikha said:

"My best friend Radhika was murdered by her own father. He shot her five times. Four bullets hit her. He'd made her life miserable for years with his controlling, constant criticism…Radhika loved clicking pictures, making videos, but she had left everything due to parental pressure as they thought of what society would think of them… In the end, he listened to so-called friends who were jealous of her success."

A WhatsApp conversation between Radhika and Ajay surfaced online, where the former shared about her ordeal to her coach, Ajay Yadav. Radhika once shared that she had too many restrictions at home and thus wanted to go abroad and stay there to enjoy some time alone independently. In the chat conversation, she said that she doesn’t want to visit China, but rather wants to visit Dubai or Australia. The part of their conversation can be read as:

"China toh dekho khana peena will be an issue. Dubai, Australia, wagerah theek hai. Australia family hai. Dubai mein aap ho. 1-2 months. Oct Nov Dec kuch bhi merko nikalna hai idhar se thode time ke liye. Ghar wale toh theek hai. Lekin thode time rehna hai independently. Wanna enjoy life idhar kaafi restrictions hai."
