Rani Mukerji Rates Husband, Aditya Chopra As A Romantic Partner On 'The Great Indian Kapil Show'

Rani Mukerji is a well-known face in Indian cinema. Recently, she completed 30 years in the film industry. Currently, Rani is on a promotional spree for her upcoming film, Mardaani 3. For the unversed, Mardaani 3 is scheduled to release on January 30, 2026. Recently, Rani appeared on the show, The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4, to promote her upcoming film. She shared a rare glimpse into her personal life on the show.

Rani Mukerji reveals that her daughter, Adira, scolds her

Rani Mukerji and Aditya Chopra, as parents, have been quite protective about their daughter, Adira. Once Rani appeared on the chat show of Kareena Kapoor Khan, What Women Want and opened up about her choice to keep her daughter away from the limelight and provide her a normal childhood. Rani shares a close bond with Adira, and when the little one was not allowed to attend the 71st National Film Awards, the Mrs. Chatterjee vs Norway actress wore a customised pendant with Adira's name. 

While Rani’s professional front has always been in the limelight, the actress preferred to keep her personal life private. In a recent episode of The Great Indian Kapil Show Season 4, Rani Mukerji was seen having a conversation with her fans and the studio audience. During the conversation, one of her fans asked Rani, who between Aditya and her, is the stricter parent. In response, Rani said that it is their daughter who is strict. In her words:

"Meri beti Adira mujhe daanti hai."

During the episode, Archana Puran Singh asked Rani Mukerji about her relationship with her husband and filmmaker, Aditya Chopra. She also asked Rani to rate him as a romantic partner. While little is known about Rani and Aditya’s love life, the Mardaani 3 actress gave her husband 15 out of 10 as a romantic partner. The next moment, the host, Kapil Sharma, asked Rani about their love story. He also questioned her about how they fell in love and how the filmmaker proposed to her. In response, Rani said, "Nahi, woh sab cheezein TV ke liye thodi na hai." Hearing her response, Kapil quipped, "Main toh saari pooch bhi nahi raha tha, joh joh TV par bata sakte hain wohi pooch raha tha." Hearing this, Rani burst into laughter.

Rani Mukerji praises her husband, Aditya Chopra, for his humbleness

In a recent conversation with filmmaker, Karan Johar, Rani lauded her husband, Aditya Chopra, for his humbleness. She shared that Aditya likes to be 'really basic' in his everyday life. Rani highlighted that when she noticed her husband leading a simple lifestyle, she felt really attracted to him. Rani mentioned that Aditya never boasted about his famous surname, Chopra. For the uninitiated, Aditya is the son of legendary filmmaker, Yash Chopra. Rani shared that her husband never carried any baggage of being a prolific filmmaker, and thus, she fell in love with him. She was quoted as saying:

"He likes to be really basic in his life every day, and it's a very endearing quality that he has. I come from a very humble and simple background. The way he respected his parents, the way he went about his daily life - that really attracted me to him. He didn't come with any baggage of being Yash Chopra's son. He didn't come with any baggage of being a very, very prolific filmmaker. If he had even an iota of air around him, I don't think I would have ever fallen for him."
