Raid 2 Ending Explained, What Happens To Dada Bhai? Will He Take Revenge From Amay Patnaik?

Ajay Devgn and Riteish Deshmukh starrer, Raid 2 is getting much attention of the public after its OTT release on June 26, 2025. Helmed by Raj Kumar Gupta, Raid 2 is a sequel to the 2018 crime thriller, Raid. Ajay Devgn returns as ‘Amay Patnaik’, an honest Indian Revenue Service officer. However, this time, the antagonist is Riteish Deshmukh, who plays the role of a corrupt politician, ‘Dada Bhai.’

Apart from Ajay and Riteish, the film features Vani Kapoor, Rajat Kapoor, and Amit Sial in pivotal roles. Saurabh Shukla also makes a special cameo, reprising his role as ‘Tauji’, who is locked in jail and eagerly awaits his parole. With darker shades, the film ends with twists and turns. 'Raid 2' ending explained

Amay Patnaik, played by Ajay Devgn, gets transferred to Bhoj as a punishment. However, he feels something amiss amid the perfectly set environment at Bhoj. When Amay meets 'Dada Bhai', the latter was seen washing his mother’s feet. While Dada Bhai portrays an ideal man, Amay smells something fishy.

A raid is carried out at Dada Bhai’s home, but Amay couldn’t find anything there. When Amay digs deeper, he gets to know all the dirty work done by Dada Bhai, including exploiting women. Meanwhile, Amay’s wife, 'Malini', takes the duty of convincing the women exploited by 'Dada Bhai' to testify against him.

Dada Bhai strikes a secret deal with Rameshwar Singh

Although the film appears slow in the first half, it becomes interesting in the second half. In the second half of the film, when multiple women testify against 'Dada Bhai', his mother realises that her son is not as ideal as he portrays.

When all the wrongdoings of 'Dada Bhai' come into the limelight, an angry mob turns on him and charges at him. He is later seen in jail, where the actual twist comes. In jail, 'Dada Bhai' meets 'Rameshwar Singh', who was also nabbed by 'Amay Patnaik' in the prequel. In the ending scene, 'Dada Bhai' and 'Rameshwar Singh' apparently hit a deal and end up shaking hands. As the film ends with the two antagonists striking a deal, the audience learns about the possibility of a third party.

Ajay Devgn paid four times more than the antagonist, Riteish Deshmukh

Raid 2 is made with a budget of just Rs. 40 crores and is one of the most profitable films of Ajay Devgn's illustrious career. According to multiple media reports, the film producers paid a whopping sum of Rs. 20 crores to Ajay Devgn for playing the character of 'Amay Patnaik'. What's interesting is that the producers paid Rs. 4 crores to Riteish Deshmukh, who plays the film's antagonist, 'Dada Manohar Bhai'. Ajay Devgn is paid four times more than Riteish. Not only this, the film's female lead, Vaani Kapoor, was paid just Rs. 1 crore for the film.
