Fans were upset as the privacy of the actress was invaded and rushed to the comments section to demand for police action. A few of the comments that went viral read, "Camera se pehle manners on karo". Another one read, "Where's the privacy? It's her home, why click her at her balcony?" A user also wrote, "There is a word breach of privacy. We shouldn't disturb them." While a fourth user commented, "This is a crime! Police should take action on this person who was taking pic and invading someone's privacy."

The pictures angered social media users and also Bollywood actress, Sonakshi Sinha. She slammed the portal for crossing the ethical boundaries and shared:

"What is wrong with you? Photographing a woman in her own home without consent and publishing it on a public platform? You all are nothing less than criminals. Shameful.”

The media portal reportedly deleted the pictures after facing backlash. Well, it was in 2022 when Katrina's ex-boyfriend, Ranbir Kapoor's wife Alia Bhatt's baby bump snaps had surfaced on social media. She was at the balcony of her Mumbai home and without her consent her privacy was intruded. Alia was angry over the same and had taken to Instagram to share:

"Are you kidding me? I was at my house having a perfectly normal afternoon sitting in my living room when I felt something watching me… only to realise two men on the terrace of my neighbouring building had a camera right at me! In what world is this okay and allowed?" 

Alia went to the extent of tagging the Mumbai Police and demanding action. On the other side, it was in September 2025 when Katrina and Vicky revealed to their fans of expecting their first baby. They had shared a Polaroid snap of themselves while Katrina was cradling her baby bump and Vicky was adoring her belly.
