Pawan Singh Opens Up On First Wife's Suicide, Hints At Akshara Singh And Recent Divorce Case

Pawan Singh has gained immense recognition beyond the Bhojpuri film industry with his song 'Lolipop Lagelu' reaching a global audience. However, the superstar's personal life, especially pertaining to love and romance has been one marred with ups and downs. Pawan Singh's first wife died by suicide, meanwhile he is going through a rough patch with his second wife, Jyoti Singh. In the reality show, Rise and Fall, the actor and singer opened up about these incidents in his life and also hinted towards his alleged relationship with co-star, Akshara Singh. 

Pawan Singh opens up about his first wife's suicide 

Pawan Singh was married to Neelam Devi in 2014, however, three months later, his wife died by suicide. The actor who is currently participating in the reality show, Rise and Fall, was seen talking about this chapter of his life with co-contestants, Arjun Bijlani and Nayandeep Rakshi. Pawan revealed to them that his first wife left the world in a 'wrong way' after three months of their marriage. Talking about her, Pawan shared:

"Woh Devi thi, jisse maine kho diya."

Pawan Singh addresses recent divorce rumours and alleged affair with Akshara 

Pawan Singh revealed that another problem arose in his life a few years later. The actor said that after consistently working with someone, he got close to this person. However, his family did not agree to this relationship. Although Pawan Singh did not take the name of this co-star, many have speculated that he was hinting towards Bhojpuri actress, Akshara Singh. The iconic on-screen couple of the Bhojpuri industry was also rumoured to be in a relationship off-screen. Neither of them confirmed this, however, recently, in an interview with Sidharth Kanan, another Bhojpuri actress, Amrapali, claimed that Pawan did not marry Akshara for the sake of his mother's happiness. Amrapali had shared:

"Pawan ji humbly told me, ‘Pandit ji, what should I tell you. You will not understand. Nothing is more important to me than my mother’s happiness. Nothing is more important than my mother’s respect. I will do whatever she says."

In Rise and Fall as well, Pawan hinted towards this and said that his family objected to his 'closeness' with his unnamed co-star, and got him married to someone else. For the unversed, in 2018, the Bhojpuri superstar tied the knot for the second time with Jyoti Singh. But the couple filed for a divorce in 2022, reportedly, which has yet to be finalised. Pawan addressed his divorce with Jyoti and said that this 'matter' is heading towards a divorce. He also stated that since his childhood, he had decided that he would never go for a love marriage and would only get married as per his parents' wish. The actor said:

"Pariwar ne kahi aur basaya. Woh zindagi basa toh usme v dhakka laga. Woh mera matter talaak mai chal raha hai."
