Pawan Singh has found himself embroiled in a controversy after a video of him 'inappropriately' touching actress, Anjali Raghav has surfaced online. The Bhojpuri actor and political leader has received massive backlash over the video. Amid this, his second wife, Jyoti Singh, recently took to her Instagram and accused the actor of avoiding meeting her for months. Along with making shocking claims, Jyoti also warned her husband of self-harm. Here's what Pawan Singh's second wife said in her Instagram post.
Pawan Singh was married to Neelam Devi in 2014, however, a year later, his first wife allegedly died by suicide in 2015. Then in 2018, the Bhojpuri superstar tied the knot for the second time with Jyoti Singh. But the couple filed for a divorce in 2022, reportedly, which has yet to be finalised. Though Jyoti had once accused Pawan Singh of inciting her to suicide, she has now reached out to her estranged husband through an Instagram post. Sharing a photo of the actor applying sindoor on her forehead, Pawan Singh's second wife accused him of avoiding meeting with her and wrote in Hindi:
“I have been trying to get in touch with my respected husband Pawan Singh to talk about personal as well as political matters for months but you have not found it right to respond to my calls or messages. When I went to meet you during Chhath Puja at Lucknow, but you did not meet me that time. What grave offence have I committed that I am being punished like this? Today, my parents' names have been disrespected. If I am not deserving of you, then you could have just left me."
In the extensive caption, Jyoti also claimed that, left with no other choice, she thought of 'self-immolation', however harming herself would still raise questions against her and her parents. Jyoti also implored Pawan Singh to understand her 'pain at least once' and asked him to respond to her calls and messages. She also mentioned how the politician-actor has forgiven many people who have gone against him, and has yet stayed away from her, who is his 'family'. Jyoti penned down in the social media statement:
"You have forgiven many people who have gone against you, and I am your family. With whom should I share my frustrations? When my own family has not tried to understand me? So this is my final plea to you at the end of 7 years of struggle. Nowadays, I have begun to hate my life. Come and talk to me, respond to my calls and messages, try to understand my pain for once. "
A video surfaced which showed Pawan Singh touching the waist of actress Anjali Raghav, reportedly without her consent, while they were promoting their song in Lucknow. As the video went viral, with more people lambasting the Bhojpuri actor, Anjali took to Instagram and released an official statement. She shared that she 'felt like crying' after the incident and was very disturbed. As the backlash for Pawan Singh increases along with his estranged wife, Jyoti's post also gaining more traction, the actor posted a cryptic Hindi couplet on his Insta, which, translated to English, meant:
"There is a saying - Only the person in pain knows what they are going through. No one else understands the pain of other. (Jis tan laage, so tan jaane. Koi na jaane pir parai.)"
What are your thoughts on Pawan Singh's wife, Jyoti's, statements amidst his controversy with Anjali Raghav?
