South Korean heartthrob, Park Bo Gum, is making waves once again, and this time, for his brand new K-drama, Good Boy, set to premiere on May 31, 2025, on Prime Video. Before this, the actor-singer who won hearts as the resilient ‘Yang Gwan-sik’ in When Life Gives You Tangerines, one of the most adored K-dramas of 2025. Good Boy will be his first comeback to acting after his service in the military. However, what’s catching attention beyond the drama is his heartfelt shoutout to Indian fans.

In a recent interaction with The Indian Express, Park Bo Gum surprised everyone by making a delightful revelation. Amid discussions about his upcoming comedy thriller, Good Boy, the Reply 1988 star revealed that he would love to visit India and even get cast in a production, preferably in a musical project. He also expressed his desire to join an Indian production with his Good Boy co-star, Sang Yi. Sparking the possibility of an Indo-Korean cinematic collaboration, Bo Gum said:

“If opportunity allows, I would love to visit India for a production, or maybe do a musical, within India. If that happens, I would love to join the cast alongside my co-star Sang Yi from Good Boy; that would make me happy.”

Park Bo Gum has a deep love and admiration for India, and over the years, he has built a massive Indian fanbase. During a roundtable interview quoted by News 18 and PTI, the actor took out time to personally give a shoutout to Indian fans for their love and support with a ‘Dhanyavad’. He also expressed his desire to come to India when he gets a chance. He said:

“To my Indian friends, Dhanyavad. Is that right? Thank you for your support and love. I really want to go to India. I don’t know when, but if I have a chance to go to India, I really want to meet and greet you all. I hope so. So thank you a lot. Dhanyavad.”

Park Bo Gum’s global fanbase continues to grow as he gears up for his comeback with Good Boy. The actor believes the drama marks a shift in K-drama storytelling, moving beyond traditional themes. “In the past, the subject matters that were dealt with in K dramas were not as diverse as we see today.
