Paradise Season 2 Episode 7 Recap, What Happens With 'Xavier', 'Gary' And 'Teri' And Who Is 'Alex'?

Episode 7 of the much-loved series, Paradise season 2, named 'The Final Countdown' has been released and is generating a lot of buzz online. For those who do not know, Paradise first began in January 2025. After a successful run, the makers renewed it for another season, which premiered in February 2026. Now that episode 7 is out and making rounds on social media, continue reading to know what happened in 'The Final Countdown'.

What happened in Paradise season 2 till now?

To give a small recap, Paradise season 1 revolved around a group of people, who lived in a secure underground bunker. The entire season was a murder mystery, which focused on the death of 'Cal'. In the season, a secret agent, 'Xavier' (played by Sterling K. Brown). Season 2, which premiered in 2026, increases the danger and introduces more characters. Till now, the viewers have seen the politics happening inside the bunker and the difficult life outside of it. 

To give a small recap, episode 1 of Paradise season 2 introduced 'Annie', a pregnant woman, who wants to go to a safe city. Episode 2 focuses on 'Xavier' and his personal struggles. He wants to go and find his wife, 'Teri'. The episode includes flashbacks of their love story. Episode 3 featured the politics that is happening in the underground bunker. In episode 4 and 5, the narrative focuses on 'Annie', her child and 'Link'. In episode 6, viewers get to see the real side of 'Jane'. Towards the end of it, 'Xavier' finds his wife, 'Teri'.

Paradise Season 2 episode 7 recap (Spoilers ahead)

Episode 7 opens with a flashback of six years old, where 'Cal' and 'Redmond' are given a tour of the bunker. They are seen questioning its design, safety and durability. Later, when the episode shifts to the present scenario, it focuses on 'Xavier' and 'Teri', who have finally reunited; however, 'Gary' still exists as their enemy. When 'Gary' tries to get back 'Teri', 'Xavier' fumes with anger and decides to kill him for once. But 'Teri' has a different approach. She goes to meet 'Gary' and makes it clear that she wants to live with 'Xavier' and 'Bean'.

Meanwhile, 'Redmond' is trying to cope up with a personal loss. Earlier in the series, she lost her son, 'Dylan' and has still not overcome it. Despite this, she goes to meet 'Link'. However, the meeting soon turns very personal. When asked about his true intentions, 'Link' reveals that he has come to meet 'Alex'. Eventually, 'Redmond' discovers that 'Link's' real name is 'Dylan' and his birth date coincides with her real son.

Apart from this, the episode also features the drastic collapse of the bunker. After the intentions of 'Jane' are revealed, she gets into a fight with 'Gaby' and tries to kill her. However, 'Gaby' fights back and ends up stabbing 'Jane'. Later, people inside the bunker start facing issues related to air supply, fire risks and more. It is worth mentioning that all these concerns were once raised by 'Cal'.

In the final moments of Paradise season 2 episode 7, viewers see 'Redmond' put on a coat and enter a restricted area. Soon, she approaches something and with a smile on her face, she says, "Hi Alex". It is worth noting that viewers do not get a peek into who or what Alex is and how it is connected to 'Dylan'.
