Pakistani actress, Anita Ayoob made her acting debut with the TV series, Gardish in 1987. She rose to fame with her debut film, Pyaar Ka Tarana, opposite veteran actor, Dev Anand. For the unversed, Dev Anand chose Anita after watching her commercial and cast her in his film, which became Anita’s Bollywood debut. She also appeared in Gangster opposite Dev Anand. But do you know that Anita used to live together with veteran actor, Dev Anand? Yes, you read it right. An old interview has resurfaced online, in which the actress revealed that she and Dev shared a special bond, encompassing every kind of relationship.

When Anita Ayoob addressed her dating rumour with Dev Anand

In a past interview with Lehren, which has recently resurfaced on the internet, Anita was seen addressing her dating rumours with Dev Anand. For the unversed, the frequent collaboration between Dev and Anita had raised many eyebrows in the '90s. So, the interviewer asked Ankita about the equation she had with the veteran actor. In response, the actress revealed that she has shared every kind of relationship with the Bollywood actor. In her words:

"Unse relationship toh har kisam ka ho gaya tha, ek bade bhai, ek father, ek boyfriend, ek mother. Relation har kisam ka tha."

Anita Ayoob opens up about the time when she and Dev Anand used to live together

In the same interview, Anita opened up about the time when she and Dev Anand used to live together. She shared that during her time in Denmark, she lived with Dev for four weeks. She stayed on the second floor, while the veteran actor lived on the third floor. She expressed that staying together made her closer to Dev Anand and helped her learn more about the actor. In her words:

"In Denmark, we lived together for four weeks, he was on the third floor and I was on the second. And you know, when you live together like that, seeing each other every morning and spending the whole day side by side, you automatically get to know everything about a person. I didn’t mind choosing him as a boyfriend, as a mother, as a father, as a brother–as everything!"

In 1995, Anita tied the knot with Indian Gujarati businessman, Saumil Patel. Soon after her marriage, she moved to New York and settled there with her family. The couple welcomed their son, Shezar. However, their marriage later hit a tough patch, and they got divorced. Later, Anita found love for the second time and married a Pakistani businessman, Subak Majeed.

Dev Anand was a popular actor when it comes to Hindi cinema. He made his debut with the film, Hum Ek Hain in 1946. Throughout his six-decade-long acting career, he worked in more than 100 films. He also received the Padma Bhushan Award in 2001 and the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 2002. Besides being a phenomenal actor, Dev Anand had also worked as a director and producer.
