Pahalgam Attack: A Man Was Shot Dead For Not Being A 'Muslim', Wife Laments, 'Bhelpuri Kha Rhe The'

The Pahalgam terror attack has claimed 26 lives. For the unversed, the terror attack took place on April 22, 2025, in Baisaran Valley, a scenic destination in Pahalgam, South Kashmir. The tourists were enjoying the scenic beauty of Mini Switzerland when a group of terrorists opened fire at the tourists, which took the lives of 26 individuals. Several glimpses have surfaced online from the horrific incident that took place. A video has grabbed attention, where the wife of a deceased was seen lamenting over her husband's demise, and it broke hearts.

A video from Pahalgam made rounds on social media, wherein a woman was seen lamenting her husband's demise. In the videos, the wife, in a broken voice, was explaining what happened to her husband. She revealed that she and her husband were munching on Bhelpuri aside when the group of terrorists spotted them. The woman, who was trembling in shock, shared that one of the gunmen said that they should shoot her husband as he was not a Muslim. Well, the brutal assassination of her husband was witnessed by his wife, who was seen in tears while recalling the trembling incident. She said:

"We were just having bhelpuri... and then he shot my husband. The gunman said my husband was not a Muslim and then shot him."

The Pahalgam terror attack has left the entire nation shocked. The incident has claimed 26 lives, among which two were reported to be foreigners, while the other two were locals, and the remaining 24 were in the Mini Switzerland for a trip. After the incident happened, Lashkar-E-Taiba, an offshoot, of The Resistance Front (TRF), claimed responsibility for the same. As per the reports, 12 individuals were injured during this attack. One of the 26 deceased was reported to be a Navy officer as well.

The officials are guessing that terrorists took the way of Baisaran via Kokernag, which hints at the cross-region movement, and it again raised concern about the same. Amit Shah is currently in Srinagar to attend a high-level meeting with CM, Omar Abdullah. People's Democratic Party chief, Mehbooba Mufti has reacted to this shocking incident that claimed 26 innocent lives. Mehbooba condemned such an inhuman act and labelled it as a 'crowd'. Calling this horrifying act unacceptable, Mehbooba Mufti said:

"I strongly condemn the cowardly attack on tourists in Pahalgam, which tragically killed one and injured several. Such violence is unacceptable and must be denounced."

PM, Narendra Modi also reacted to such a horrifying incident, and he held a telephonic conversation with Amit Shah, wherein he directed him to take all the necessary steps to bring justice to the deceased. On the other hand, after his high-level conversation with Omar Abdullah, Amit Shah will reportedly sit for an urgent security review meeting with all the agencies.
