Ozzy Osbourne talked about his health condition, Parkinson's disease

For the unversed, Ozzy Osbourne had been dealing with Parkinson's disease since 2019, when he had a fall after a show. It was during an interview on Good Morning America, when Ozzy talked about his battle. The legend stated that it was after a show in that year, when he had a fall, following which he had to undergo surgery, leading to the loss of all his nerves. Ozzy said:

"It's been terribly challenging for us all. I did my last show New Year's Eve at The Forum. Then I had a bad fall. I had to have surgery on my neck, which screwed all my nerves."

For the unversed, Parkinson's disease is a neurodegenerative condition that progresses slowly but has no cure. It was Ozzy's wife, Sharon, who, in the same interview, mentioned that it's not a death sentence, and her husband has stage 2 Parkinson's, but this disease really affects some of the nerves. Sharon further said that the victim can have both good and bad days.

Ozzy went on to reveal that he experienced numbness in his arm due to the surgery, and his feet would often go cold. The 'Prince of Darkness' further mentioned that he was not sure whether it was due to Parkinson's disease or not, but his nerves were cut during the surgery, and it's weird to have nerve pain. "I got a numbness down this arm for the surgery. My legs keep going cold. I don't know if that's the Parkinson's or what, you know, but that's -- see, that's the problem. Because they cut nerves when they did the surgery. I'd never heard of nerve pain, and it's a weird feeling."

The interview took place in 2020, and Ozzy mentioned that he couldn't go on to keep up with this secret anymore. Earlier, rumours about his health condition surfaced, and he denied them. However, later he came with a clean slate and let everyone know what was going on with him. His daughter, Kelly, also attended the interview and expressed her pain at watching her dad suffer. Kelly further mentioned that it's a role reversal for them, and also, the entire incident actually brought them all together yet again.

To note, whether it was Parkinson's disease which was the reason for Ozzy Osbourne's death has not been confirmed. The Osbournes released the statement, wherein they only confirmed the news of the legendary singer's passing, and nothing about the reason was mentioned.

We wish strength to the Osbournes to deal with this testing time!
