Omid Jahan Passes Away At The Age Of 43 After Suffering A Heart Attack During A Concert In Bam

Omid Jahan was an Iranian singer and actor known for developing his unique style in the Iranian music industry. The singer rose to fame for blending Southern Iranian folk music with pop in songs like Hale Dan Dan and Veyli Veyli. The singer was well known in the Iranian community and was performing at the Bam Date Festival when he suffered a heart attack in the middle of the performance.

Omid Jahan was born in 1982 in Abadan, Iran, to musician, Mahmoud Jahan. He was raised in Bushehr and followed in his father's footsteps as he grew up. The singer had a soulful voice that, unfortunately, came to a sudden end. He was performing in Bam at the Bam Date Festival on the evening of September 12, 2025, when he suffered a heart attack and collapsed on stage. The singer was soon transported to Bam Pasteur Hospital by the emergency team present at the festival.

However, regardless of their relentless efforts, he passed away on September 13, 2025. According to reports, the medical team had resuscitated Omid Jahan after he was brought to the hospital and was transferred to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) after two cardiac resuscitation operations. Nonetheless, he passed away in the afternoon on Saturday. While there is no other information about his funeral, the news has left the singer's fans heartbroken.

Omid Jahan learned music from his father, Mahmoud Jahan. He was the only child and lost his father in 2017. He was 34 years old when he released his first album, Vaysa Tond Naro, which featured the local Iranian lyrical style with a Southern blend. His song, Hale Dan Dan, became one of the most popular hits and established his musical style. However, technically, Omid had released his debut album, unofficially, in 1998, titled Pesar Jonubi, and Pappti in 2000. Loyal to his arts, Omid Jahan never got married and focused on performing to the best of his ability.

Omid Jahan's talents earned him several major collaborations, including one with Mohsen Chavoshi. As for his concerts, the singer performed at numerous big venues, including the Milad Tower in Tehran. Omid had also dabbled in acting and worked in films such as the 2021 movie, Daghet Nabinoom, Veyli Veyli in 2020 and Hasrat in 2020. The singer had 1.3 million followers on Instagram alone and frequently shared glimpses of his life on the social media platform.

While his demise is truly unfortunate, Omid Jahan died doing something he genuinely loved and devoted his entire life to. There are no known relatives of Omid, suggesting that his untimely demise might have put an end to the soulful legacy of the Jahan family. Nonetheless, while he might be gone, his music and memories will continue to live on in the hearts of his fans.
