Bollywood’s dancing sensation, Nora Fatehi, became the latest victim of celebrity death hoaxes that keep surfacing time and again. Recently, a video made rounds on the internet, sending fans into a frenzy where it was claimed that the actress lost her life in a Bungee Jumping incident. The video later turned out to be misleading and an attempt to gain views. Here is what really happened.

Misleading video claims Nora Fatehi’s death in Bunjee Jumping accident

A viral video recently surfaced on social media where a woman was seen losing consciousness mid-air while performing Bunjee Jumping from the top of a mountain. The video was reportedly shared by an Instagram user named Sufiyan Khan, who posted it with a misleading caption that read:

"Nora Fatehi famous Bollywood actor death — bad news for Bollywood."

The post, which has since been deleted, quickly gained traction, gaining more than 18 million views within just a matter of hours. It started getting reposted by several pages, leading many to believe the fabricated story. However, eagle-eyed fans soon pointed out that the woman in the video was not Nora Fatehi.

After digging deep into the matter, it has now been confirmed that the woman in the video was someone else, and contrary to false reports, Nora is safe and unharmed. The viral video was debunked as fake, and many netizens slammed the spread of misinformation. One user had commented on the post, saying, “Zoom karke dekha, yeh woh nahi hai.” Another commented, “Shame on you for spreading fake news just for attention”. It has now also been confirmed that the individual behind the hoax often features similar false claims involving other celebrities.

Amidst the controversy, Nora remained focused on her professional commitments. She is currently busy promoting her latest song, Snake, in collaboration with American pop star, Jason Derulo. In fact, just a day before the hoax went viral, she posted a video on social media thanking her fans for their support.

Nora Fatehi is a Canadian dancer based in India who has also dabbled in acting, appearing in Hindi, Malayalam and Telugu films. She is popularly known for her sensational dance moves in blockbuster numbers, such as Dilbar Dilbar, O Saki Saki, and Garmi. Beyond dancing, she has proven her acting skills in films like Street Dancer 3D and Batla House, even bagging the Best Supporting Actress award at the 66th Filmfare Awards.

Aside from her latest collab with Jason Derulo in Snake, Nora has a lineup of projects up her sleeves. She is gearing up to share the screen with Bhumi Pednekar and Ishan Khattar in Netflix’s much-anticipated rom-com series, The Royals. As reports suggest, Nora is also set to star in Kanchana 4 and KD – The Devil.
