Noel Clarke is a popular British actor, writer, director and producer. He is known for his amazing roles in Doctor Who, Kidulthood and Bulletproof. Since 2021 and 2022, Noel has been in headlines for an allegation against him regarding se***l misconduct. Recently, the actor lost the case against The Guardians.
Between 2021-2022, Noel Clarke sued The Guardians' publication because of a series of articles. He has claimed that the reporting done by them was completely false, while the publisher defended that the reporting was done on two grounds- truth and public interest. Eventually, the case reached High Court because Noel's reputation was on the line.
The trial took place in High Court in early 2025, where the court took a few weeks to hear all the evidence. The legal proceeding was basically focused on whether the reporting done by The Guardians was backed by reliable evidence or not. Nearly 30 people came in support to defend the publisher. After a long battle, the judge announced its decision in favour of the publisher. The judge said:
"I find that the Guardian has succeeded in establishing that the articles are substantially true, and that publication was in the public interest. There has been no conspiracy to lie, and Mr Clarke was not a credible or reliable witness."
In 2021-2022, more than 20 women went to The Guardian with the allegations about Noel Clarke's behaviour. The women mentioned that he is involved in se***l misconduct, involving kissing, touching, bullying and taking images without consent. The allegations were very serious and had a major impact on Noel's reputation. However, Noel rejected all the allegations and sued the publication for ruining his reputation.
The allegations made by 20 women included that Noel's behaviour made them feel pressured and uncomfortable. Some also said that Noel used his position to intimidate or criticise his female juniors. Allegedly, one report also claimed that a young actor was asked to film na**d in an audition even though it wasn't necessary.

After the recent loss, Noel mentioned that he has lost everything, including his own production company.
