Nobody 2 has been released in the theatres, and fans are having a field day about it. While for some it turned out to be legendary, the others have deemed it unnecessary. The film is a sequel to Nobody starring Bob Odenkirk, Connie Nielsen, Christopher Lloyd and Colin Hanks and brings back the story of the 'Mansell' family as they find themselves in yet another troublesome experience.
Fans have been divided when it comes to Nobody 2. While some are left impressed, others are not so sure. Well, the fights, guns and laughs have definitely hooked the viewers. The first part of the film was released in 2021, and the sequel has outdone it by a significant margin. If you are a fan of action comedy, then it might be something that intrigues you. Combined with the outstanding performance by Bob Odenkirk and Christopher Lloyd, the film is most definitely a delight.
The makers have also introduced a strong villain. Additionally, the 90-minute running time has been a huge plus as it doesn't feel dragged. The action sequence has been precisely choreographed and paired with the BGM, it is a perfect match that aligns with the film's tone and theme. However, if everyone is so precisely perfect, then why are the viewers left feeling unsatisfied?
On the surface, Nobody 2 is a perfect sequel. However, if you are a film enthusiast looking for something more in-depth, this film might not be for you. The summer of 2025 has been the time of several unnecessary sequels, including M3GAN 2.0, The Bad Guy 2 and now, Nobody 2. You might ask why? Well, that's because 'Hutch Mansell's' return has not been a big 'save the world' saga, but stuck in a threadbare amusement park in Plummerville.
And while there is no denying that small saves are commendable, 'Hutch Mansell's' return has just failed to make sense. As the quiet dad with a violent past hopes to reconnect with his frustrated wife, 'Becca Mansell', played by Connie Nielsen, and his doubtful kids by taking them to a place he loved as a child, it turns into a wreckage as they come across a corrupt town with a crooked police officer (Colin Hanks), and a powerful criminal group. Giving 'Hutch' no other option but to fight again.

Directed by Timo Tjahjanto, the film shifts from the dark tone of the original Nobody to a chaotic blood-soaked, messy comedy. 'Hutch's' struggle to save the world while battling his own family issues feels extremely absurd. Even the makers' message about generational violence seems to have fallen victim to the on-screen chaos, as nothing ever gets calm enough to make sense. While the action falls short with its tone, the emotional connection with the 'Mansell' family is never formed. However, if you are a fan of over-the-top action, the film might be a glee-ful violent spectacle.
