Nitesh Pandey was one of the few television actors, who managed to excel in the film industry. From working in daily soaps to portraying the role of Shah Rukh Khan’s assistant in the film, Om Shanti Om, Nitesh’s acting career needs no introduction. There was a time when Nitesh was considered as a secret ingredient of almost every daily soap. Although he has played positive roles for most of his career, in a few shows and films, he has proved the mettle of his versatility with some of his intense sequences.
However, on May 24, 2023, Nitesh passed away due to a cardiac arrest. At the age of 51, the actor bid farewell to this world and went to his heavenly abode. The news of his sudden demise left both the television and film industries in absolute shock.

There’s no denying the fact that his professional life needs no introduction, but it is his personal life that has hardly made it into the news. However, before we jump into the details of Nitesh Pandey’s personal life, let’s have a quick look at his acting career. So without further ado, let’s get into the details.
It was back in 1995, when Nitesh Pandey got the opportunity to be a part of the show, Tejas. The actor was new to the television industry and had no backing or connections. All he had was his acting talent and dedication to prove it to the world. Nitesh portrayed the character of a detective in his debut show, Tejas. Unfortunately, after a few episodes, the show got into trouble and was shut down soon. However, by the sudden shutdown of the show, Nitesh had already caught the eyes of so many directors and producers.

In his acting career of almost 28 long years, Nitesh Pandey has worked in some of the most iconic television shows and a series of blockbuster Bollywood movies. Talking about the daily soaps, he has been a part of shows like Manzilein Apani Apani, Astitva...Ek Prem Kahani, Saaya, Justajoo, Durgesh Nandini, Pyaar Ka Dard Hai Meetha Meetha Pyaara Pyaara, Indiawaali Maa, Hero – Gayab Mode On, Anupamaa and Igatpuri.
Talking about Nitesh Pandey's work in Bollywood movies, the actor has a long list of successful films. He has featured in films like Baazi, Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai, Sins, Khosla Ka Ghosla, Om Shanti Om, Dabangg 2, Shaadi Ke Side Effects, Hunterr, Madaari, Rangoon and Badhaai Do.

For the unversed, Nitesh Pandey had two marriages. The first one was with the popular actress, Ashwini Kalsekar. The ex-couple got married back in 1998. Not many details of their marriage are available in the public domain. However, after a few months of their married life, cracks started creeping in, and it was in 2002 when they got separated. After her separation, Ashwini Kalsekar found solace in the arms of another famous actor, Murli Sharma.
After his separation from Ashwini Kalsekar, Nitesh Pandey also moved on in his life. Soon he fell in love with the stunning television actress, Arpita Pandey. If the reports are to be believed, it was during the shooting of the television show, Justujoo, when Nitesh met Arpita. During the show's shooting, the two reportedly fell in love with each other. After dating each other for a while, the much-in-love couple got married in 2003.
If the reports are to be believed, Nitesh Pandey and his wife, Arpita Pandey embraced parenthood when they welcomed a baby boy in their life. The couple named their son, Aarav. However, the actor always preferred to keep his personal life miles away from the reach of media and shutterbugs. Nitesh lived a low-key life, as he wasn’t spotted at celebrity parties or events. Although the late actor never spoke of his son in the media, it was after his untimely demise that his Anupamaa co-star, Rupali Ganguly revealed the same. In an interview with Koimoi, Rupali shared that Nitesh was a father to a 9-year-old son. Sharing details about the same, she said:
"He had even come to meet me after Rudransh was born. I can’t believe this! His son Aarav is just a few months older than Rudransh. He had messaged me just last week about a painting he had made and we had made plans to make our sons meet."

When Nitesh Pandey passed away on May 24, 2023, at the age of 51, due to a cardiac arrest, his whole family was in a complete state of shock. From the actor’s father to his wife, everyone was in disbelief, as expected. At that time, Nitesh’s brother-in-law, Siddharth Nagar, who is a renowned producer in the industry, opened up about his family’s condition after the actor’s untimely demise in an interview with ETimes.
The doting brother-in-law, Siddharth Nagar admitted that Nitesh Pandey’s father has left for Igatpuri in order to collect his son’s mortal remains, while his wife, Arpita is in complete disbelief. Regarding the reason behind Nitesh’s demise, Siddharth admitted that the actor had no history of any heart ailment and was even younger than him. Sharing his thoughts about the tragedy, Siddharth admitted that it’s an incredibly tough time for their family. He said:
"My brother-in-law is no more, my sister, Arpita Pandey is in a state of shock. Nitesh’s father has left for Igatpuri to get his mortal remains. Nitesh was much younger than me. He was a very lively person and I don’t think he had a history of any heart ailment."
There’s no denying that both the television and film industries will feel the absence of Nitesh Pandey, courtesy of his immense contribution to the entertainment industry.
