Nita Ambani, the chairperson of Reliance Foundation and wife of Indian billionaire, Mukesh Ambani, is a renowned personality in the business and fashion sector. Known for her work, style, philanthropy and passion for promoting Indian culture at a global level, the diva never fails to impress everyone with her new endeavours, which always focus on taking Indian heritage across the world. For the past few months, she has been busy working in New York ahead of the NMACC India Weekend. The diva, who is often in the spotlight for her elegant choices and impeccable fashion, continued the streak as her pre-event look stole the show and a custom Hermes bag stole the show.

Nita Ambani recently visited New York ahead of the NMACC India event in the city. A picture from the visit was shared by renowned designer, Manish Malhotra, who has been working on the upcoming event. Taking to his Instagram handle, Manish also revealed that Nita Ambani wore a beautiful handwoven red-hued banarasi saree with gandabherunda motifs in real gold and silver zari from the racks of their brand, Swadesh.

But what truly stole the limelight was a Hermes Birkin bag specially designed for her ten years ago. Its luxury bag was one of its kind as it featured intricate embroidery with traditional Indian motifs reflecting a mix of Indian traditions and high fashion. Needless to say, Nita Ambani has already started to take Indian culture to an international level with her look.

NMACC will organise an Indian Weekend in New York to celebrate Indian music, food, fashion and more 

Nita Ambani recently sat down for an interview with Vanity Fair and opened up about NMACC Indian Weekend in New York. The diva who worked for ten years to bring the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) to life aimed to make a space that could present India's culture, heritage, drama, dance, folklore, art and more through the centre. After her dream came to life in 2023, she planned another initiative where the NMACC would hold an India Weekend in New York's Lincoln Center from September 12 to 14, 2025. It will be an opportunity to present Indian culture to the world. In her words:

"We want to look at how we can place Indian arts and artists at the front and centre of the world's creative imagination, and there's no better place than Lincoln Center. Culture binds people together, it builds empathy; it teaches you to respect differences, respect other cultures. I feel at this moment the world needs it more than ever before."

It will begin with a Grand Swagat, an invite-only welcome gala. It will also include a fashion show for Ambani's handloom emporium, Swadesh. Manish Malhotra will curate each design. On the other hand, Michelin star chef Vikas Khanna, who runs his restaurant, Bungalow in the city, will serve a specially designed menu that has diverse flavours from across India. Musicians and singers like Shankar Mahadevan, Shreya Ghoshal, and Rishab Sharma are also set to perform at the event. Nita, being a Bharatnatyam dancer, is also set to perform at the event and said:
