Nidhhi Agerwal Addresses Hyderabad Mobbing Incident While Promoting 'The Raja Saab', 'Too Much Of..'

Nidhhi Agerwal dominated the headlines a few months ago, when she was mobbed and allegedly manhandled by the audience while exiting a mall in Hyderabad. Multiple videos had circulated on social media, in which the actress was scared and uncomfortable. However, after a few months, the actress has finally addressed the incident while promoting her upcoming film, The Raja Saab.

Nidhhi Agerwal addresses her mobbing incident

Recently, actress, Nidhhi Agerwal was promoting her upcoming film, The Raja Saab, along with the remaining cast of the film. During a conversation with NDTV, the Munna Michael actress opened up about the mobbing incident. Niddhi explained that cinema plays an important role in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, because of which people are more connected and emotional. She also called the incident ‘sensitive’ and revealed that she has a lot to say, but only on the right platform. Nidhhi Agerwal was quoted as saying:

"These two states have more theatres than the rest of India combined. Films are a part of the culture. People watch movies every weekend, celebrate stars like family. The love is beautiful, but too much of anything is not good."

Adding to what Nidhhi Agerwal shared, her co-star, Riddhi Kumar agreed with the former and shared that overbearing love is never good. She explained that whether it is a personal relationship of a bond between fans and artists, love can be overwhelming at times. Riddhi shared:

"Whether it's a personal relationship or between an artist and fans, overbearing love is never appreciated. Love also includes respect, and respect means space."

When Nidhhi Agerwal shared an Instagram post regarding the Hyderabad incident

A few days after the mobbing incident, actor, Sivaji has shared his opinions on the same and had explained that the dressing sense of a woman matters the most in such situations. However, his statement didn’t sit well with the fans and he faced major backlash for the same. Later, Niddhi had taken to her Instagram Stories to share her thoughts on the incident for the first time. She had shared a photo of herself and penned, “Blaming the victim is manipulation.”

Who all were mobbed by fans after Niddhi Agerwal?

For those who do not know, after Niddhi Agerwal’s incident grabbed headlines, multiple actors were mobbed in a similar manner. Some of which are Kriti Sanon, Dhanush and Samantha Ruth Prabhu. In Mumbai, during the promotions of Tere Ishk Mein, Dhanush had to physically protect his co-star, Kriti as fans rushed towards them. 

On the other hand, the crowd had broken barricades in Hyderabad to come close to Samantha, during the inauguration of a store. Apart from these Allu Arjun and his wife, Sneha Reddy were also mobbed at a cafe in Hyderabad. Reportedly, cricketer, Virat Kohli also faced a similar situation recently. He was mobbed by fans at the Vadodara airport.

The Raja Saab is one of the much-awaited films of 2026, which is all set to hit the theatres on January 9, 2026. While its plot is kept under wraps, reports suggest that the film is a fantasy horror-comedy. The trailer featured a blend of mystery and psychological elements. The cast of the film includes Prabhas, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar, Zarina Wahab and more. The film is directed by Maruthi Dasari. The film will be released in multiple languages.
