Neena Gupta Of 'Panchayat' Says Love Styling Up And Taking Photos But Only Gets 'Gaon Waale Roles'

Panchayat fame, Neena Gupta, as a veteran actress, is known for her unconventional and strong roles that go against the norms. In her personal life, the actress has also pushed boundaries with her fashion statements, irrespective of her age. In a recent interview, Neena talked about styling and fashion and how she does not get to show her own outfit choices on-screen because of the kind of roles she gets. 

Neena Gupta revealed that she does her own styling 

Neena Gupta has grabbed many headlines for her fashion choices. In a recent interview with Zoom, the actress opened up about her outfits and revealed that she does her own styling. Neena also said that she is really fond of dressing up. She also loves her clothes and jewellery, but does not get a lot of chances to showcase them. The Panchayat actress said that she cannot show a lot of fashion statements because of the kind of roles she gets. 

Neena Gupta said that she dresses up at home and takes photos 

Neena Gupta said in the interview that she gets mostly 'gaon waale roles'. So, she has no choice but to dress up in simple clothes. Hence, every day Neena styles herself up after getting up in the morning. She goes to where all her clothes are stored, dresses up and then takes photos of herself and saves them. The veteran actress said that she enjoys doing so every day. In her own words, Neena said: 

"I do my own styling. I am very fond of my clothes and jewelry. Ab jo mujhe role milte hai vo toh gaon vale roles hi milte hai toh mai apne kapde kaha pehnu. Yaha toh mujhe aise (simple) pehnne padte hai, toh kaha dikhau. I get up in the morning and I do styling. Mere room me jaha kapde hai mai vaha jaati hu, styling karke, photo kheech ke rakhti hu. And I enjoy that."

Neena Gupta was recently trolled for her outfit 

Neena Gupta celebrated her 66th birthday at the trailer launch event of her upcoming movie, Metro...In Dino, in style. She wore a gorgeous white 'Rann Kaftan', and underneath it a gold 'Biscuit Bra' adorned with golden charms. The outfit was from her daughter, Masaba Gupta's fashion label, House of Masaba. The actress was trolled for her bold fashion choice. Many netizens also commented on her age. However, some fans who defended her outfit choice, and said, "Finally, at this age, she is feeling free. Nobody should comment badly about her."

Neena Gupta will be seen in two highly anticipated projects. The actress is back for Panchayat Season 4 and will reprise her role as 'Manju Devi'. The new season will be realising on June 24, 2025. Neena is also sharing the screen with Aditya Roy Kapur, Sara Ali Khan and others in Anurag Basu's upcoming film, Metro...In Dino. This film is a spiritual sequel to Life In A Metro and will be released on July 4, 2025.
