The dashing actor of South Indian cinema, Akkineni Nagarjuna Rao can give any current actor a run for his money even at the age of 65. Recipient of two National Film Awards, Nagarjuna has given some of the most tremendous performances in his more than six decades-long career. With films like Siva, Geetanjali, Chaitanya, Antham, Killer, Criminal, Khuda Gawah, Don, Azaad and many more, Nagarjuna has proved his versatility as an actor.

The actor is leading the headlines as his son, Akhil Akkineni, got married to businesswoman, Zainab Ravdjee in Hyderabad. Taking to his X handle (formerly Twitter), Nagarjuna shared the delightful news and expressed his joy over the same and wrote:

“With immense joy, Amala and I are delighted to share that our dear son has married his beloved Zainab in a beautiful ceremony (3:35 am) at our home, where our hearts belong. We watched a dream come true surrounded by love, laughter, and those dearest to us.”

Since his son’s wedding, Nagarjuna has been garnering the spotlight. Well, Nagarjuna has been in the news multiple times, either for his professional achievements or his personal life. For the unversed, Nagarjuna has been married twice, and despite this, he had a long affair with Bollywood actress, Tabu. Their bond caught attention, and rumours of their affair, despite him being married, surfaced in the gossip corridors. In the 90s, Nagarjuna and Tabu worked together in films like Ninne Pelladatha and Aavida Maa Aavide and soon reports about their affair began. Their affairs raised many eyebrows as Nagarjuna was already married to Amala while dating Tabu. In an interview with the Times of India, Nagarjuna spoke about his love and admiration for Tabu and said:

“Yes, Tabu is a fantastic friend of mine. our friendship goes way back, since I was 21 or 22 and she was just 16 years old. That's like almost half a lifetime... About our friendship, whatever said is less. I have nothing to hide about her. When you mention her name, my face lights up.”

When the rumours about Nagarjuna and Tabu’s alleged affair reached Amala’s ears, she didn’t let it go unnoticed. She rather voiced her opinion and reacted to the gossip. Revealing how the actress stays with the Akkineni family whenever she visits Hyderabad, Amala said:

“Tabu is one of the persons, besides Danny Denzongpa, my Rakhi brother, from Mumbai who I am in touch with. And, yes, she stays with us when she comes here. I have 100 percent faith in my husband, Nagarjuna and my best friend, Tabu. Nothing will shake this belief.”

Prior to Amala, Nagarjuna was married to the daughter of famous Telugu film producer, Dr D. Ramanaidu, Lakshmi Daggubati. The duo got married in 1984 and were blessed with a son, Naga Chaitanya in 1986. After six years of marital bliss, the couple started drifting apart slowly and parted ways in 1990. Nagarjuna worked with Amala Mukherjee and fell in love with her. The duo got married in 1992 and were blessed with a son, Akhil Akkineni, in 1994.
