A heartwarming video has surfaced online, which shows MS Dhoni attending the birthday of his friend, Sudrendra, in Ranchi. The former Indian cricket captain stood unobtrusively at the rear of a packed room. The video, which is said to be from June 22, 2025, shows the crowd gathering around the birthday boy and singing the Birthday Song. Mahi stood behind and smiled, looking over at his friend as he cut the cake. The cricket, who was dressed in a simple black t-shirt and black trousers, seamlessly integrated with the group, smiling, singing, and joking as if he were just another attendee.

MS Dhoni has shared a close bond with his childhood friends and is often seen supporting them. As Surendra cut the cake and offered Mahi a slice, he gently motioned towards the woman standing nearby and urged him to give it to his wife first. He joked that all of them would leave, but he would have to stay with her. Mahi's loving gestures left his friend teary-eyed. He was quoted as saying:

"Pehle bhabhi ko khilaye, aapko yahi rehna hai, humlog to chale jayenge."
