MS Dhoni is one of the most popular cricketers in the Indian cricket team. Well-known for his cool-headed demeanour on the field, Dhoni has earned the nickname 'Captain Cool'. Be it his professional side or personal front, Dhoni has balanced it well over the years. Mahi is not only an ace cricketer, but also a perfect family man who loves to keep his personal life private. For the unversed, Dhoni tied the knot with his lady love, Sakshi Singh, in 2010.
To showcase the inspirational journey of Mahi, Neeraj Pandey made a biopic on him, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, starring late actor, Sushant Singh Rajput and Kiara Advani. Sushant played the role of MS Dhoni, and Kiara played the role of Sakshi in the 2016 biopic. As the celebrity couple, MS Dhoni and Sakshi, completed their 15 beautiful years of marriage, an interesting fact about their wedding attire has been revealed, which was showcased in the 2016 biopic, MS Dhoni: The Untold Story.
While Sushant and Kiara won many hearts through their impeccable acting in the 2016 biopic MS Dhoni: The Untold Story, an interesting fact was attached to Mahi’s biopic. The makers tried their best to replicate every smaller detail about the legendary cricketer’s life, and thus, they wanted to keep things closer to the real-life scenes. There was a wedding sequence in the movie, where Sushant and Kiara tied the knot, and their attires were beautifully replicated.
Kiara wore a lehenga, which was a beautiful replication of Sakshi’s wedding lehenga, while Sushant’s attire was a beautiful replica of MS Dhoni’s wedding outfit. For the uninitiated, Sakshi opted for a red and green-toned lehenga featuring butti-work and zardosi embroidery all over it. She accentuated her wedding look by wearing real gold jewellery, heavy necklaces and a maang teeka. MS Dhoni looked handsome in a blue kurta and dark blue-hued pants, paired with a heavily embroidered jacket. To complete his royal-like wedding look, he donned an orange-hued pagdi.
