A happy marriage is all about living, loving and laughing and not counting how time flew by. The moment you tie the knot, everything changes and with the right person, you become the version of yourself. After all, a marriage is a sacred affair, and your partner becomes your soul connection. Together you create your own 'happily ever after'. And Nazar fame, Monalisa is one happy woman as she is married to the love of her life, Vikrant Singh. For those who don't know, Monalisa's wedding had gained a lot of attention as she had gotten married in the Bigg Boss house. While many had thought her marriage to be another Bigg Boss stint, Monalisa had kept her calm and showed the world that her love was real. And the duo had completed three years of togetherness.
On August 21, 2020, Monalisa celebrated Hartika Teej with her husband, Vikrant. Hartalika Teej is one of the most auspicious festivals celebrated by Hindu married women. For the day, she donned a traditional orange saree and accessorised her look with a mangalsutra and a neckpiece. She also flaunted her orange sindoor. The actress took to her Instagram handle and posted pictures of her day and wrote, "Happy Hartalika Teej May Everyone Get Lord Shiv ji and Parvati Jis Blessings".
Talking about their love story, in an interview with Rediff.com, Monalisa had opened up on the same. She had said, "Vikrant and I have been planning to get married for a long time, but some reason, it didn't fall into place. Even our family members were keen that we get married. The way I got married on the show was a big surprise for me too. Vikrant consulted my parents and then decided to propose to me on the show. For any girl, marriage is a big thing and it's a special day. I can never think of faking it for the show. It hurts when people say things like the wedding was scripted or done for TRPs. If I didn't get married on the show, I would have gotten married after four-five months anyway. I am happy to have got married on a TV show with the entire nation witnessing it." She had further stated, "We are in a serious relationship for the past last eight years. We fell in love with each other during a Bhojpuri film in 2008. Since then, we have been living like husband and wife. The only difference was that I was not wearing a mangal sutra and sindoor before. If we had to end our relationship, it would have happened by now." (Don't Miss: Rana Daggubati's Wife Miheeka Bajaj Dancing On Bhaat Nyotana Ceremony Makes Her A Swagalicious Bride)
