Sustainability is the need of the hour and though it is tricky for us to repeat our outfits or accessories, it has now become a trend. Especially brides now are setting the example by their sustainable choices for their wedding outfits and jewellery. Apart from Varun Dhawan's designer-wife, Natasha Dalal, Shahid Kapoor's influencer-wife, Mira Rajput Kapoor is an inspiration for her sustainable bridal look.
In 2015, the Delhi-based college girl, Mira Rajput had made us fall in love with the pastel lehengas before it became a 'thing' when she picked a blush-hued Anamika Khanna bridal ensemble ditching the traditional red outfit. Mira's wedding ensemble came with a short-sleeved blouse and beautifully embroidered skirt which the bride had style with not one but two dupattas, one draped like a saree and one tulle dupatta, covering her head.
Giving the traditional and predictable bridal jewellery sets a rain check, Mira Rajput had opted for navaratna, which is crafted using nine different gemstones. Flashing her beautiful smile as her most expensive accessory, Mira had complemented her navaratna choker-style statement necklace with matching earrings, maang teeka, passa and elegant pink bangles. Over the years, Mira had used her navaratna bridal jewellery set for different occasions, one being a friend's wedding in London.
Mira Rajput Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor had attended a wedding in London back in 2017 and he had posted a twinning picture with his ladylove from one of the functions. For the ceremony, Mira had opted for a gorgeous ivory lehenga by Anjul Bhandari and the designer took to their IG handle to describe the star wife's outfit. Sharing a picture of Mira, Anjul wrote, "Kamdani Kraft Mira Kapoor looks gorgeous in this ivory Kamdani lehenga, intricately hand-embroidered with aubergine Parsi Gara borders, paired with a bharti Chikankari dupatta."

As per a report by Zoom Entertainment, when they got in touch with a representative and were informed that Mira Rajput Kapoor's ivory lehenga by Anjul Bhandari costs a whopping Rs 3,95,000. Mira had complemented her look for the wedding with her bridal jewellery. In 2019, the official photographers of the London wedding had posted unseen candid pictures of Shahid and Mira.
Speaking of Mira Rajput Kapoor's wedding lehenga, which took 48 days to get ready with the help of 67 artisans, Anamika Khanna had once described in an interview with the Vogue, "This lehenga is an amalgamation of exquisite artisanship and centuries-old design. It featured embedded 3D flowers, pearls, floral embroidery with French knots and interwoven delicate zardozi work. With the help of 67 artisans, it took us about 48 days to make Mira's bridal lehenga."
Revealing that Mira Rajput's wedding lehenga was a collaboration of ideas between the designer and the bride, Anamika Khanna had continued, "Mira's wedding lehenga was a collaboration of ideas between her and me. She was very clear that she wanted something gentle and more pastel, nothing that would devour her. At the same time, Mira has a subtle classic taste. Following that guideline, we developed the pink pastel lehenga."
Shahid Kapoor had married Delhi-based girl, Mira Rajput in 2015 and Mrs Kapoor has now become 'influence of the influencer', creating her own fanbase!
