Indian cricketer, Yash Dayal, is hogging the limelight for his personal life. For the unversed, Yash represents Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League. However, in mid 2025, the RCB pacer made headlines for all the wrong reasons. Yash was accused of raping a minor. Following the serious allegations, an FIR was lodged against the player. Earlier, this year, in January 2026, Yash was granted interim protection from arrest.
It is worth mentioning that during the tough time of Yash, it was his ladylove, Shweta Pundir, who became his pillar of strength. Currently, Yash and Shweta’s private marriage ceremony is the talk of the town. The couple tied the knot on February 4, 2026, in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. While Yash’s wedding pictures surfaced online, people became curious to know who the bride of the RCB pacer, Shweta Pundir, is. Well, we got you covered.

According to her Instagram profile, Shweta Pundir hails from Delhi. Shweta, who is now widely known as the wife of Yash Dayal, is a famous content creator and vlogger. She has 588K followers on Instagram. According to a report by DNA India, she has also worked as a broadcaster for the Intercontinental Legends League.

The year 2025 was a difficult one for the RCB pacer, Yash Dayal, because he was levelled with serious charges like rape and sexual exploitation. While the world judged him for the incident, it was Yash’s now-wife, Shweta Pundir, who stood beside him and became his pillar of strength during the tough time. In fact, when Yash was granted interim protection from arrest, it was Shweta who celebrated the moment. Taking to her Instagram handle, Shweta shared a carousel when it was clearly mentioned that all the allegations against Yash Dayal were false and the court had given him interim relief. She captioned the post as:
"Congratulations, love. Rising above the noise. The comeback is always stronger than the setback."

In 2025, Yash found himself in the centre of controversy. Two separate cases were lodged against him. In one case, the RCB pacer was accused of raping a minor. SHO of Jaipur's Sanganer Sadar police station, Anil Jaiman, told the media that an FIR was lodged against Yash following the minor’s complaint. Anil shared that the victim alleged she was raped for the first time in 2023, and later she was sexually assaulted again in 2025. In another case, a woman in Ghaziabad alleged that the RCB pacer, Yash Dayal, abused her after promising to marry her during a five-year relationship. Anil was quoted as saying:

"FIR was registered against Yash Dayal for rape under relevant sections of POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) act and the BNS (Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita). She alleged that the cricketer had promised help and support in her career. He contacted her in April this year when he was in Jaipur for IPL and called her to the hotel where he allegedly raped her again."
In November 2025, RCB faced extreme backlash on social media for their decision to retain Yash Dayal amid the serious allegations. Earlier, in August 2025, the Uttar Pradesh Cricket Association (UPCA) suspended Yash from participating in the UP T20 League, citing the seriousness of the allegations. At the time, a fan wrote on X (formerly Twitter), "Yash Dayal, who has a POCSO case going on currently and has been accused by multiple women of misconduct, has been retained by RCB. Meanwhile, his state team UP already dropped him due to these allegations. Shame on RCB." Another user penned, "A team centred around Virat, the guy who has literally been the face of the club since inception, and it’s ironic and diabolical that a guy like Yash Dayal still finds a place in the squad. Embarrassing from RCB!"
