Ace Indian tennis sensation, Sania Mirza makes the nation proud with the number of accolades she won for the country. Just like Sania, her sister, Anam Mirza, has made it big and proved herself in the fashion and business world. Without being overshadowed by her sister’s fame, Anam made a name for herself.
Born on February 25, 1994, in Hyderabad, Anam completed her schooling at Nasr School. She graduated from St. Francis College for Women with a degree in Mass Communication and Media Studies. Her father, Imran Mirza, was a sports journalist, and her mother, Naseema, worked in the printing business.
After graduating in Mass Communication, Anam Mirza began her entrepreneurial journey in 2013. She started her first venture, Ink to Change, a news-based website in Hyderabad. The website was launched for aspiring journalists.
After her successful news-based website, Anam Mirza started her fashion brand, The Label Bazaar. The brand gained widespread recognition for its curated designs and out-of-the-box looks. From accessories, bags, shoes and beauty brands, the brand has everything under one roof for all fashion enthusiasts.
Within a few years, The Label Bazaar became the most talked about fashion brand in India. The brand displays its collections through exhibitions and shows in Mumbai, Chennai, Hyderabad and Dubai.

In 2022, Anam Mirza added another feather to her cap by co-founding Daawat-e-Ramzan, India’s biggest Ramzan expo in Hyderabad. It attracts around 1.5 lakh visitors each year and features 200 retail shops, 30 plus food stalls and many other attractions in the holy month of Ramzan.
The event, which gains popularity every passing year, is one of the biggest expos in Hyderabad. Speaking about Daawat-e-Ramzan, Anam shared:
“I am a Hyderabadi by heart and Ramadan is everyone’s favourite time of the year. I’ve always hosted fashion exhibitions but I am really looking forward to organising an authentic experience that showcases the true essence of what this month is all about – good food, family time and counting our blessings! It also makes me very happy that I can bring fashion and food from the heart of the Old City to this part of town.”
After the birth of her daughter, Dua, Anam launched another fashion label in 2023, which she named after her daughter. The brand, like her other fashion brand, focuses on some stylish attires. Anam often shares snippets from her brand on her social media handle and people love the way she aces her multiple businesses.
Apart from her multiple businesses, Anam Mirza is a popular influencer with a huge reach on YouTube and other social media platforms, with over 1.25 lakh subscribers. Anam’s business ventures and social media presence earned her a staggering net worth of Rs. 331 crores.
Anam Mirza married Akbar Rasheed in a traditional ceremony in Hyderabad on November 18, 2016, at a royal Muslim wedding. After two years of marital bliss, Anam and Akbar parted ways in 2018. After her divorce, Anam gave love another chance and got married to Asad Azharuddin, son of former Indian cricketer, Mohammad Azharuddin. In August 2022, Anam and Asad embraced parenthood with the arrival of their daughter, whom they lovingly named Dua.
Despite being the sister of a global figure, Anam Mirza carved her own path with her hardwork and dedication, inspiring millions of women.
