The Indian actor and social media personality, popularly known as KRK, often makes headlines primarily for his provocative statements as a self-proclaimed film critic. The couple has two children: a son, Faisal Kamaal Khan, and a daughter, Farah Kamaal Khan. Kamaal R. Khan and Anita Kumar's relationship began in Mumbai and faced initial resistance before they overcame their religious differences and married. KRK first met Anita Kumar in the Santacruz area of Mumbai while she was with her father. After obtaining her phone number, KRK contacted her, but she initially reacted negatively, accusing him of flirting. Through his 2017 tweet series, KRK revealed that, at first, Anita was sceptical about opening her heart to him.

KRK stated that Anita Kumar initially held prejudices against his religion, which acted as a hindrance in their early phase of seeing each other. Anita is Hindu by birth, and Kamaal is a Muslim. Her initial conception about KRK and about Muslims in general was changed after she got to know him better. Notably, it took the actor a year of persistent effort to convince her of his genuine love and intentions toward marriage. Anita reportedly agreed to the marriage only after he agreed to a condition of hers. He assured her that he would not consume alcohol.

KRK believes a happy wife is the key to a happy life. In his tweet, he said he and Anita were "happily married". Kamaal, who owns a travel business in Dubai, has also helped Anita's four younger brothers get settled. It showcases that he considers Anita's family as his own. According to the actor, a husband should never ask his wife for a penny; instead, he should work hard to fulfil all her materialistic desires. He showcased his unconditional love for his wife by transferring all his property, company rights, and bank account ownership to his wife's name.

KRK stated that he would be penniless without his wife, not the other way round, as all his finances are under her ownership. He jovially stated that he would be "100% #2Rsppl without her." In the veil of humour, he depicted his deep love and respect for his wife. He also shared that their religious difference doesn't affect their bond and their kids at all. KRK mentioned teaching his kids that "human values" comes above religion. He stated:

KRK's latest controversy involving firing at a Mumbai residential building

Kamaal R. Khan was arrested by the Mumbai Police on January 24, 2026, for firing rounds at a residential building in the Oshiwara area of Andheri West. On January 18, 2026, shots were fired from KRK's bungalow towards a nearby mangrove forest. However, at least two bullets struck Nalanda Society, a residential building on Lokhandwala Back Road. Officials from the State Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL), Kalina, were also called to examine the site. On January 23, 2025, KRK was detained late Friday night.

KRK was formally arrested the following morning after forensic teams linked the projectiles found in the building to his licensed firearm. During police interrogation, Kamaal reportedly admitted to discharging the weapon but claimed it was unintentional. He stated that he was cleaning his gun and fired towards the mangroves to check its functionality, believing the bullets would land harmlessly. However, unexpectedly, the bullets hit a residential building, leading to chaos. As a result, the police have seized his licensed weapon and registered a case for firing in a public residential area.
