The show is set in the fictional village of Bhatkandi, where the various challenges faced by doctors are shown. While Gram Chikitsalay looks somewhat similar to the show, Panchayat, it largely focuses on the challenges faced in rural healthcare.
The show, which is about a doctor’s struggle to advocate the importance of the right medicine while eradicating corruption from a small village, features Amol Parashar in a pivotal role. The other cast includes Akansha Ranjan Kapoor, Anandeshwar Dwivedi, Akash Makhija, Vinay Pathak and Garima Vikrant Singh.

In 2009, Amol began his acting journey with a supporting role in Rocket Singh: Salesman of the Year. He was also seen in the 2016 film, Traffic, alongside Manoj Bajpayee. However, it was his role as ‘Chitvan Sharma’ in TVF Tripling which got him huge recognition. He starred in the 2020 film, Dolly Kitty Aur Chamakte Sitare and also played the legendary freedom fighter, ‘Bhagat Singh’ in Shoojit Sircar’s much-acclaimed film, Sardar Udham.
Amol Parashar worked with actress, Konkona Sensharma in the film, Dolly Kitty Aur Chamakte Sitare and as per multiple reports, the duo became good friends. However, in 2024, a parody account on X (formerly Twitter), known for taking digs at popular personalities, made a post taking a jibe at Ranvir Shorey’s political perspectives. The post further indicated a brewing romantic angle between Konkona and Amol and stated that Konkona made the ‘best decision’ to leave Ranvir and date Amol, citing their political affiliation as the primary reason.
However, Ranvir’s reaction to the post raised many eyebrows. Commenting on the post, Ranvir Shorey wrote, “I Agree,” which, in a way, confirmed the dating rumours of Konkona and Amol. However, neither Konkona nor Amol reacted to the rumours.
While the rumours of Konkona and Amol garnered the limelight, the actor spoke about his relationship status. In an interview with The Times of India, Amol shared the reason behind not revealing the identity of his partner and said:
“Nothing is stopping me. I have found no good reason to put it out there. And there is a sort of sanctity to actual real relationships. It feels a little more pure. Also, what will I get out of it? It can be used for PR. Yaha nahi bhi hote relationships toh chala dete hai. Many people and PRs have suggested to me in the past ki kuch chala dete hai. But in terms of people at large, I want them to talk about my work. There is nothing we are missing out on. We are not hiding from people. We go to parties and all of that and people know. But to put something out there in the media has not felt necessary.”
Well, have you seen Amol Parashar’s splendid work in Gram Chikitsalay? Let us know.
