Weddings are undoubtedly the most beautiful union known to humankind. Different customs and traditions come together to celebrate the love of two individuals. Marriages are even more interesting when they're cross-border, as we get to see and experience varied cultures blend and give rise to a unique celebration. Los Angeles-based social media influencer, Meeka Hossain, originally hails from Bangladesh, recently tied the knot with talent manager, Jeffrey Klein, who is a Jewish.
Their wedding was one of the most ethical unions we have seen in a long time, and we couldn't help but swoon over the couple's wedding festivities. From the decor to the ensembles, everything screamed luxury. Here, we bring you their one-of-a-kind wedding, etched with happiness and all things aesthetic.
Three years before tying the knot, Meeka Hossain and Jeffrey Klein met at Beverly Hills for their first date, which was so pleasant that it lasted for over 24 hours. The duo met in a shoe store, and from thereon, their love story started.
After their first meet-cute, the duo went for an adventure. As told to Vogue, Meeka and Jeffrey had an early breakfast at the luxurious Malibu pier and then went on an adventurous hike in the Santa Monica Mountainsins. After the couple has hiked to a secluded area, Jeffrey proposed to Meeka in privacy as he wanted the moment to be personal to the duo. In Meeka's words:
“After an early breakfast on the Malibu pier, we went for a hike in the Santa Monica Mountains. When Jeff felt we were far enough into our hike, he paused in the middle of a secluded canyon to propose. He wanted the moment to be just for us—without any photographers—so we could own that memory completely.”
Meeka is a Bengali, while Jeffrey is Jewish, so the duo paid an ode to both their cultures and blended them. They had both a white and a Bengali wedding. For their Jewish wedding, Meeka donned a classic strapless Vera Wang gown. The dress featured asymmetrical layers put together beautifully in a timeless classic ballgown design. Meeka completed her look with a sheer veil and a bouquet.

A few months before their wedding, Meeka and Jeffrey visited India and handpicked all her bridesmaids' sarees from India. In both, her Bengali and white wedding ball, her bridesmaids wore sarees and matching accessories, which were all from India and specially curated for them by her. In Meeka's words:
"I personally selected each sari during my trip to India in March."
For the dinner party, Meeka donned a beautiful corset mermaid gown which had a unique support detailing on the neck. It was a two-piece set from Wiederhoeft Loho Bridge, and Meeka called it 'perfect' for her fusion wedding. She custom-made the tulle neck scarf inspired by Indian dupatta. In Meeka's words:
“I fell in love with the corset details and intricate hand-beading done in India, which made it perfect for my fusion wedding, I added length to the skirt and designed a tulle neck scarf inspired by a traditional Indian dupatta.”
The rehearsal dinner also doubled Jeffre's birthday party, who for the day donned a custom suit from Sandro and Bottega Veneta slippers.
For their Indian wedding, Meeka wore a red-hued Sabyasachi lehenga, which she paired with gold and emerald jewellery. The blouse was plain with golden zari work on the sleeves, but the skirt was heavily embroidered. Meeka paired the lehenga with golden and red bangles and completed her look with a nath, soft glam makeup and a bindi.
Jeffrey donned a creme-hued sherwani for the Bengali wedding. Meeka shared that Jeff bought the sherwani from Jaipur as he fell in love with it on first glance. Jeffrey paired his look with a pagdi in the same hue and mojris.
We are in awe of Meeka and Jeffrey's cross-culture Los Angeles wedding. Let us know your views on the same.
