Manish Malhotra On Creating Kim And Khloe's Outfits For Anant And Radhika's Wedding, 'They Were..'

Mukesh Ambani and Nita Ambani's youngest son, Anant got married in July 2024, in a grand wedding soiree. From Indian celebrities to stars all the way from Hollywood were part of the grand wedding soiree of Mukesh Ambani's son. Among others, Kim and Khloe Kardashian also marked their presence at the wedding of Anant and Radhika. They looked gorgeous in custom-made Manish Malhotra outfits. In a recent interview, Manish talked about getting the chance to prepare gorgeous outfits for the Kardashian sisters.

Recently, Manish Malhotra sat for an interview with BBC Asian Network, wherein he talked about getting the chance to dress up the Kardashian sisters for Anant and Radhika's wedding. Talking about the same, Manish shared that both the Kardashian sisters were very professional and fantastic. He mentioned that after landing in India, Kim and Khloe came straight for fittings for their dresses. He stated that the Kardashian sisters were very concerned about their fittings, and he loved the fact that they were concerned about their outfits. Talking more about the same, Manish Malhotra stated:

"My god, they were fantastic! They were so professional. They landed and came straight to the fittings. They were so involved in what they were wearing, concerned about the fit. I actually love people who are serious about what they’re wearing because I’m so attached to clothes.”

For Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant's wedding, Kim Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian were decked up in custom-made Manish Malhotra attire. Kim looked gorgeous in a red-toned saree with sequins, and Khloe donned an ivory-toned saree featuring embellishments. On the wedding eve, Khloe opted for a rani-pink-toned lehenga choli from Manish. In the same interview, Manish shared that he had a great experience of working with the Kardashian sisters, and once they reached back to their home, they texted the designer saying 'thank you'.

Manish Malhotra lauded Nita Ambani for every little detail of Anant and Radhika's wedding

In the same interview, Manish Malhotra talked about how minutely Nita Ambani had planned the wedding soiree of Anant and Radhika. He shared that Nita took care of everything in that soiree, and they all worked on her vision. He praised Nita for being so involved in her son's wedding, which is rare. Manish stated that Nita was involved in each and everything, including uniforms and cutlery to digital invites for the Jamnagar soiree. Stating how Nita Ambani was so concerned about every guest and what they must experience, Manish said:

"It was Mrs Ambani who led this. We worked with her, on her vision. We were involved with every aspect, when it came to the hotels in Jamnagar, from the uniforms to the cutlery to the digital invites. I’ve never seen a mother who is so involved and so concerned about every guest and the experience that the guests will have."

Talking more about the same, Manish revealed how each of the chairs had pockets in the back of it to hold bottles and wet towels for the guests. The designer revealed how Nita gives respect to art and culture, and he tried to bring the same to Anant and Radhika's wedding by arranging performances by maestros. Sharing more details about the same, Manish revealed:

"The chairs at the wedding all had pockets in the back, with water bottles and a wet towel. God is in the details. There were singers who sing cultural songs, there were maestros. There’s a lot of respect given by her to arts and culture. It was the whole world coming together."
