'Hridayapoorvam' Fame, Malavika Mohanan Reveals Feeling Emotionally Close To Mohanlal, 'I Felt..'

The recently released family entertainer film, Hridayapoorvam has been winning a lot of hearts for its strong narrative and mesmerising performance by the actors. Recently, the female lead of the film, Malavika Mohanan did a Q&A session with her fans on X (formerly Twitter), in which she very fondly spoke about her experience of working with the legendary actor, Mohanlal. 

Malavika Mohanan recalls the last day of the shoot with Mohanlal

On August 30, 2025, Malavika took to her X handle to thank all the viewers for giving so much love to her film, Hridayapoorvam, and in the same message she asked fans to ask her anything about the film. During the fun session, a fan asked Malavika to say something about actor, Mohanlal and to reply to the fan, she posted a photo along with Mohanlal and penned a heartfelt message for him. She explained the sweet bond between both of them and mentioned that she will always cherish those memories. She had written:

"This was the last day of shooting for #Hridhayapoorvam and every time I look at this picture I feel like it perfectly encapsulates what I feel about him. Apart from being super sweet & incredibly funny on sets, through the course of those months I also felt so emotionally close to him because of how comfortable he made me, because of the character chemistry we had & how supportive he was through the entire process. It’s memories I’ll cherish forever. I can only hope I get to work with him again."

Malavika Mohanan opens up about her role in the film, Hridayapoorvam

During the same Q&A session on X (formerly Twitter), a fan asked Malavika Mohanan the reason that made her choose this film. While replying to the fan question, Malavika shared her long-lasting desire of wanting to work with Mohanlal and director, Sathyan Anthikad's films. She continued by writing on what she loved the most about her character. She shared:

"Firstly have always wanted to share the screen with the (GOAT) Mr Mohanlal sir & secondly I’ve grown up being a fan of Sathyan Anthikad Sir’s films and especially how he writes such beautiful roles for his female characters. I love that my character ‘Haritha’ in the film is so well etched out and how there was so much scope to perform and bring the character to life! So felt like the right film to do in Malayalam after a while."

More about Malavika Mohanan

Malavika Mohanan was born on August 4, 1993, in Kerala and she is the daughter of the popular cinematographer, K. U. Mohanan. She earned a Mass Media degree at Wilson College and initially did modelling and commercials before getting roles in films. She made her on-screen debut with the Malayalam film, Pattam Pole, but her breakthrough came with the film, Beyond the Clouds. Since then, she has appeared in films like The Great Father, Petta, Master, Maaran, Christy and Thangalaan.
