'Maharaj' Fame, Junaid Khan Gets Pushed By Salman Khan's Bodyguards At 'Sitaare Zameen Par' Premiere

Junaid Khan is not just the son of Bollywood actor, Aamir Khan and his former wife, Reena Dutta, but has also built his name in the industry. Junaid made his acting debut with the Netflix film, Maharaj. However, the star kid was recently pushed by Salman Khan’s bodyguards when he tried to reach the Bollywood actor. For the unversed, Salman’s security has been tightened lately as the actor has been receiving multiple death threats. This also made his security team stop Junaid from approaching him.

Bollywood superstar, Aamir Khan, known to be Mr. Perfectionist, recently hosted a grand premiere of his latest film, Sitaare Zameen Par, in Mumbai on June 19, 2025. Among many celebrities, Aamir’s elder son, Junaid Khan, was also spotted at the event. However, one incident at the premiere involving Salman Khan and Junaid Khan has caught everyone’s attention. In the video, Junaid Khan was manhandled by Bhaijaan’s bodyguards due to his tight security. The incident went unnoticed by the superstar, who moved forward, making his way through the crowd. Soon, the video went viral, and netizens say that maybe Bhaijaan’s security team failed to recognise the star kid.

Star-studded attendance at the Sitaare Zameen Par grand premiere

Many celebrities from Bollywood gave star-studded attendance at the grand premiere of Sitaare Zameen Par on June 19, 2025, in Mumbai. The event was attended by Bollywood superstar, Shah Rukh Khan, Rekha, Salman Khan, Vicky Kaushal, Genelia D’Souza, Riteish Deshmukh and many more. Aamir Khan also appeared at the event holding hands with his alleged lady love, Gauri Spratt. The couple was accompanied by Aamir and Kiran Rao’s son, Azad Rao Khan, at the glam event.

Sitaare Zameen Par is directed by RS Prasanna, and it features Aamir Khan and Genelia D'Souza in the lead, along with ten debutants including Aroush Datta, Gopi Krishna Varma, Samvit Desai, Vedant Sharma, Ayush Bhansali, Ashish Pendse, Rishi Shahani, Rishabh Jain, Naman Mishra, and Simran Mangeshkar. It is the spiritual sequel of the 2007 hit film, Taare Zameen Par. While the super duper hit, Taare Zameen Par, gave the audience knowledge on dyslexia, a learning disability, the sequel, Sitaare Zameen Par, has provided knowledge on the Down Syndrome.

Junaid was born on June 2, 1993, to Bollywood superstar, Aamir Khan and his first wife, Reena Dutta. The actor also has a younger sister, Ira. Junaid started his career as a theatre artist and later made his way to the films. In 2017, he appeared on stage and performed in Quasar Thakore-Padamsee’s adaptation of the play, Mother Courage and Her Children. He also appeared and played the lead role in his sister, Ira’s theatre production of Medea in 2019. In 2024, he made his OTT debut in Netflix’s film, Maharaj. Earlier in 2025, Junaid had his first theatrical release opposite Khushi Kapoor, the younger daughter of Bollywood queen, Sridevi, in the romcom movie, Loveyapa.
