'Maha Kumbh Girl' Monalisa Got Married To BF At 17, Family Is Against Her Decision, Seeks Help

The famous garland and flower seller, Monalisa, rose to fame as a Mahakumbh girl. She was hailed for her natural beauty and dusky looks. Later, she was even offered a role in a regional film. As Monalisa rose to success at the mere age of 16, she also fell in love. However, it seems like her family is not in support of it, as she is just 17, but Monalisa has travelled across the country to Kerala and got married to her partner.

Monalisa Bhosle travelled to Kerala to seek protection from her family as she got married to her boyfriend

As per reports, Monalisa, who is a native of Indore, has travelled to Kerala to marry her partner. Since it is an interfaith marriage at the age of 17, her parents are against it. So, Monalisa has asked for police protection. Monalisa married Farman Khan at a temple in Vizhinjam in Thiruvananthapuram on March 11, 2026. The police revealed that Monalisa insisted that she won't go with her father as she wanted to marry her boyfriend. The police said:

"She insisted that she won't go with her father and made it clear that she is going to marry her boyfriend. As she is a major, she can act according to her choice."

Later, Monalisa left with her boyfriend and crew members. They even informed her parents that they would get married in Kerala. After which, her father returned to his hometown. Now, a video of her getting married at a temple surfaced. She got married as per South Indian wedding rituals.

Monalisa Bhosle, who belongs to the family of mala-sellers, had her life transformed during the Maha Kumbh at Prayagraj. People waited outside her family's stall to get a glimpse of her. Soon, film offers flooded her, and one of them was given by Sanoj Mishra. The 16-year-old girl, Monalisa, had her dream take flight. 

Monalisa became an overnight sensation after her pictures went viral. Soon, she was cast in the upcoming project, The Diary of Manipur. She took her first flight to Kozhikode, Kerala, on February 14, 2025, as she arrived for a shop's inauguration hosted by businessman Boby Chemmanur. He had earlier announced Monalisa's visit to the city. During the event, Monalisa left everyone in shock as she conversed in Malayalam on the stage. 

When Monalisa revealed the reason why her father sent her back to her home from Maha Kumbh 

When Monalisa's video from Maha Kumbh went viral, people started gathering around her stall in Prayagraj. Everyone wished to take a selfie with her to get famous. Monalisa's family was left concerned about her safety. In another viral clip, she was seen getting harassed, and her family members were seen covering her. After this incident, Monalisa's father chose to send her back. After this, reports claimed that her father had sent her back. Later, Monalisa revealed that it is for the safety of her and her family that she was going back to Indore. However, she hoped that she would be able to come back by the next shahi snan. She wrote:

"Parivar aur apni suraksha ke liye mujhe wapas Indore jana pad raha hai, ho sakta to agle saahi snaan tak wapas milte hain, Prayagraj Mahakumbh mein. Sabhi ke sahyog aur pyaar ke liye dil se dhanyavaad."
