One of the biggest shocks in the year 2020 was the news of the demise of the legendary actor, Irrfan Khan. He was an actor par excellence who proved his acting mettle in Bollywood, after working in great films like Maqbool, Billu Barbar, Paan Singh Tomar, Lunchbox, Angrezi Medium, Hindi Medium and many more. For the unversed, Irrfan had tied the knot with the love of his life, Sutapa Sikdar on February 23, 1995.
The Bollywood actor, Irrfan Khan had bid adieu to his family, friends and fans and had left for the heavenly abode on April 29, 2020. But his wife, Sutapa Sikdar and their sons, Babil Khan and Ayaan Khan, always keep him in their hearts. They often share soulful memories with their fans which leaves us teary-eyed.

A few hours ago, Sutapa Sikdar took to her Instagram handle and shared pictures from her birthday celebration and remembered her late actor-husband, Irrfan Khan. She penned a long note for Irrfan in the caption and revealed that she has forgiven him for not remembering her 28 birthdays out of 32, which the loving couple had spent together. Sutapa mentioned their dating days, while taking a trip down the memory lane. Sharing details about the same, she wrote:
“I finally forgive you irrfan for not remembering 28 birthdays out of 32 we spent together.. I did not sleep a wink night before my birthday, walking tirelessly the endless lanes and by lanes of memories from getting angry stage to hurt stage to giving up stage and to finally happily accepting your philosophical reason of not celebrating and forgetting my birthdays at last. And yesterday night I told you finally about the way I love celebrations and it was not about birthday but celebration I wanted to be with you.”
Further, in the same note, Sutapa mentioned the surprise that her sons, Babil Khan and Ayaan Khan, gave her. She got emotional while writing. She added that it must have been her loving husband, Irrfan, who might have whispered about her wishes in their son’s dreams as she couldn’t find any other reason for this celebration. She also mentioned how happy her late husband would be to see their kids showering love even after not liking birthday celebrations. She further added in the note:

“But yesterday Surprisingly babil and ayaan did not forget my birthday!! I suspect deeply that you whispered it in their dreams or else why did they conspire to celebrate. Cheers Irrfan !! you I missed like never before as we celebrated my birthday by both of them you might not have believed in birthdays but you would be so happy to see them giving me soooo much of love!! #birthdaymom #rockstarboys.”

In an interview with the Bombay Times, Sutapa Sikdar had remembered her late husband, Irrfan Khan, on his 55th birth anniversary. She had talked about the thing that she misses the most about him since his demise. The doting wife had mentioned that out of all the things, it was her soul-to-soul conversation with her hubby, Irrfan, that she misses every single day She had explained:
"In April this year, it will be two years since his passing, and not a single day goes by without us remembering him. What he truly cherished were soul-to-soul conversations, and I miss having those with him the most. Everything else can be compensated for. I have friends who are there for me, but with whom do I have those great conversations? My life is devoid of good conversations now. It's unbelievable for me to fathom a world without Irrfan."
Going further in the interview, Sutapa Sikdar had opened up about her late husband, Irrfan Khan, and had revealed that he had 5-6 big movies in his kitty along with some massive international projects. The doting wife had also added that her late husband was enjoying one of the best years of his acting career. However, she had understood that fate had other plans for him In her heartbreaking statement, Sutapa had revealed the hard-hitting truth that it is impossible to get over the loss of loved ones. She had said:
"He (Irrfan Khan) left when he was beginning to enjoy the best phase of his career. He had six massive films in his kitty, including huge international projects, but fate had other plans. You never get over the loss of a loved one. You just learn to deal with the pain."
The love story of Irrfan Khan and his wife, Sutapa Sikdar is an example of pure love, trust and support for the younger generation.
