'TMKOC' Actor, Lalit Manchanda Dies By Suicide, Body Was Found Hanging In His Meerut Residence

Lalit Manchanda, a well-known television actor was found dead in his residence on April 22, 2025. Lalit was last seen in the most popular series, Taarak Mehta Ka OOltah Chashma. He did a cameo in the sitcom, and after the news of his demise made rounds on social media, a photo of the actor with Dilip Joshi surfaced instantly. As per the police, Lalit Manchanda's body was discovered hanging from a noose in his residence.

Lalit Manchanda was found dead in his apartment

Lalit Manchanda was famous for his small yet remarkable roles in serials and films. Apart from his cameo in TMKOC, he was seen in DD National's Sevanchal Ki Premkatha, India's Most Wanted, Crime Patrol, and Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, among others. If a report by Amar Ujala is to be believed, Lalit moved back to Meerut from Mumbai with his family as he was facing some financial crunches.

Reports claim that Lalit Manchanda was suffering from depression and was going through financial crunches

Talking about Lalit Manchanda's suicide, it was reported that the authorities reached the actor's home after getting the news of his demise. Although the authorities have confirmed that there was no foul play in this case, the fact that no suicide note could be found near his dead body raised questions about the actor's suicide. Currently, investigations are underway despite the primary sources revealing that there was no third-party involvement. The body of the deceased has been sent to the local facility for postmortem examination, and the police are also currently in talks with the actor's family members and close friends.

Lalit Manchanda was reportedly preparing to work on a web series for which he was really excited

As per the locals, Lalit was suffering from some mental blocks and depression, and he was busy shooting for a web series for which he was passionate. While the reason behind Lalit Manchanda's drastic step isn't known yet, his fans have been wondering if it was due to depression or the financial issues he faced in recent times, as per the reports. On the other hand, the Cine and TV Artistes' Association (CINTAA) recently confirmed the heart-breaking news of Lalit Manchanda's demise through an IG post. In the tribute post for the actor, the members have paid their condolences to the actor, who has been a part of the glamour world since 2012.
