Sonakshi Sinha's Brother, Kussh Speaks On Rumours Of Not Attending Her Wedding, 'I Was Clearly..'

Sonakshi Sinha stepped into a new chapter of her life when she tied the knot with her long-time partner, Zaheer Iqbal, in June 2024. However, the joyous occasion was quickly clouded by the rumours that her twin brothers, Luv and Kussh Sinha, didn't attend the most special occasion of her life. It raised many eyebrows and some fans speculated that probably the duo was unhappy with their sister's choice of groom or some cultural differences. However, nothing was confirmed, and now, after months, Kussh Sinha has finally opened up about the same.

Kussh Sinha opens up about the rumours of his absence from his sister, Sonakshi Sinha's wedding

Kussh Sinha is soon going to make his directorial debut with Nikita Roy, starring his sister, Sonakshi Sinha. While talking about the same, he sat down for an interview with Moneycontrol. During the conversation, he was asked about the much-talked about rumour of his absence from Sonakshi's wedding with Zaheer Iqbal. He clarified that he was present at the wedding and expressed his frustration around the false news floating about his absence. He said:

"I'll just put it shortly. I was there. So, you know, whoever has put out that story should have done the fact-checking because I was clearly there."

At the same time, he clarified that his on-set bond with Sonakshi during the shooting of their film was completely professional. Unlike treating her as his sister, which could give a wrong impression to other team members, they avoided acting overly familiar. Kussh acknowledged that Sonakshi is an experienced and talented actor who has worked in a lot of films. So, he took his collaboration with her seriously.

Before Kussh cleared the air, his brother, Luv, gave an opposite reaction. Around the time of Sonakshi Sinha's wedding, he posted a cryptic message on social media. He hinted that he chose not to be a part of his sister, Sonakshi Sinha's wedding due to some personal reasons. He mentioned that his family is his priority and attached a link to a news report titled, 'Against The Tide,' which talked about the rumours of Zaheer Iqbal's father, Iqbal Ratansi's connection to a corrupt politician. Luv also stated that there were certain people he chose not to associate himself with, and he appreciated a journalist who did the right job of finding the truth instead of sharing PR-driven stories. However, he didn't name anyone, which fueled multiple rumours. 

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal's love story 

Sonakshi Sinha and Zaheer Iqbal first met through their mutual contact with Salman Khan and gradually, they developed a friendship. Soon, the actress realised her love for Zaheer and confessed it. They dated for seven long years away from media attention and finally announced their marriage. They tied the knot in a private ceremony at Sonakshi's home under the special marriage act, followed by a star-studded reception on June 23, 2024.
