Joshua Faye Saunders, popularly known by his YouTube username, KingCobraJFS, was a popular content creator who had a cult like following among his fans. Though he had started his YouTube channel to promote his music, the YouTuber rose to infamy due to his eccentric and absurd behavior. Many of his actions that brought police down to his house were either heavily trolled or hugely supported by netizens. However, despite his divisive content, heartfelt condolences have poured in as KingCobraJFS has passed away at the age of 34.
A lot of KingCobraJFS's content revolved around his drinking and eating habits. The YouTuber was seen drinking copious amounts of alcohol and smoking a lot of cigarettes. He would also post a lot of videos while being visibly drunk. The musician turned content creator also garnered a lot of views by mixing different spirits and drinking the suspicious concoctions. All this unhealthy content had garnered him a lot of views along with raising concerns about his health.
Before the YouTuber's passing away was confirmed on August 21, 2025, Joshua had posted a video on his Facebook handle, complaining about his ill health. In the video, Joshua, who looked very sick, stated that it hurt him even to lie down or breathe. This was the YouTuber's last ever post. He had shared in the video:
"I feel like sh*t, Facebook. It hurts to lay down, I've been up all night, puking... Oh, man, I feel like sh*t. I'm sweaty, I'm clammy, I feel like sh*t. I've been up all night, puking and using the bathroom, but I will push through this. It hurts to breathe... my stomach hurts."
Joshua's father, Clint, shared a video on the YouTuber's channel confirming his death. The video has now been deleted where Clint stated that he had gone to check up on his son, but found him unresponsive. Clint confirmed that the musician had passed away at the age of 34. His father also emotionally shared in the video how Joshua was 'bullied terribly his whole life'. In the now-deleted video, Clint stated:
“I got on today to delete all of his social media… because ‘f**k you’ is how I’m feeling. But I realized that would not be fair to his fans, and it’s certainly nothing he would want. As you all know, Josh was harassed and bullied terribly his whole life. From the time he was 3, it was just nonstop. It was like he had a neon sign that said ‘Please pick on me’."
Apart from this, Joshua's father also revealed that his son had struggled with mental health issues. Especially, the death of his best friend, Aaron and the demise of rock metal legend, Ozzy Osbourne, had been a huge shock to the YouTuber. Clint also stated that his son was 'suicidal most of his life', but he also thanked his fans and said:

Though an official medical report is still awaited, Joshua's family claims that he passed away in his sleep rather than by suicide, as was believed earlier. They are also of the opinion that the content creator's lifestyle had a huge role to play in his swiftly deteriorating health. Joshua had struggled with alcoholism and was also heavily trolled by a lot of his viewers. Amid his drinking problems, the content creator was also sent a lot of alcohol by his fans and was encouraged to mix and experiment with his drinks. As a result, many believe that along with having an already fragile system, Joshua might have contracted extreme alcohol poisoning, which led to his untimely demise.
Joshua Saunders, a.k.a KingCobraJFS, was an infamous YouTuber, but his content wasn't just absurd and eccentric. It was an attempt to connect with as many people as he could after being bullied and isolated for most of his life. And as Joshua has unexpectedly left the world, the conversations around parasocial relations have ignited even further.
Rest in peace, Joshua Faye Saunders.
