Has Kriti Sanon Replaced Kiara Advani In 'Don 3'? Actress Reacts To Being Called 'Lady Don'

Don 3, starring Ranveer Singh, is a highly anticipated project directed by Farhan Akhtar. Except for the male lead, all other information regarding the film is tightly kept under wraps. As per reports, Kiara Advani had been roped in as the lead actress for Don 3, but she stepped down from her role due to her pregnancy. However, as speculations are floating, Kriti Sanon's recent reaction to being called 'Lady Don' has spoken volumes. 

Kriti Sanon blushed when paps called her 'Lady Don'

Kriti Sanon was recently clicked by the paparazzi as she stepped out in Mumbai. The actress looked gorgeous in a midnight blue-toned dress. However, what caught people's attention was the actress' interaction with the paps. While walking towards her car, the photographers tried to stop Kriti to get her attention. They called the actress 'Param Sundari' and she sweetly smiled. However, when the paps said, "Kriti ji, Don 3. Lady Don. Rukiye na yaha pe Lady Don," Kriti couldn't help but beam. She also tried to cover her beaming smile after the photographer mentioned Don 3. 

Reports suggest that Kriti Sanon was finalised for the role of lead actress in Don 3 

As per sources, Farhan Akhtar and his production house, Excel Entertainment, want to cast an actress with a strong screen presence opposite Ranveer Singh in Don 3. Hence, Kriti Sanon was approached for the role, and she agreed to join the franchise with a lot of excitement, reported Pinkvilla. 

The rumours started getting more traction when Kriti Sanon was seen outside Farhan Akhtar's office at Excel Entertainment in May 2025. To note, there has been no official confirmation from either the actress or the production house. However, all these hints glued together have given rise to the wide-spread speculations of Kriti Sanon essaying the role of lead actress in Don 3. 

Did Kriti Sanon replace Kiara Advani in Don 3?

Earlier, there was a buzz that Kiara Advani had joined the star cast of Don 3 and would be seen opposite Ranveer Singh. However, as per an India Today report the actress stepped down from the film after embracing motherhood. The makers of Don 3 had also respected her decision and were trying to find a new actress for the role. A source close to the publication had said:

"She is currently wrapping up shooting for 'Toxic' and 'War 2', post which Advani will take a break to spend time with family and her child. Her decision was respected by the makers (of Don 3), who are now on the lookout to find a new heroine."

The Don franchise of Farhan Akhtar had Shah Rukh Khan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead roles for the first two films. However, an official statement from Excel Entertainment welcomed Ranveer Singh as the new 'Don' for the third instalment. The shooting of the film will start in September 2025. There were rumours that there was a delay with the schedule, but the production house announced that Don 3 has not been postponed and it is right on schedule.
