Kate Gosselin Gets Candid About Losing Her 7th Baby During Sextuplet Pregnancy, Says, 'Would Have..'

Kate Gosselin is a well-known social media influencer. She began her journey on TikTok and has since expanded her following on Instagram as well. However, her journey has been filled with some heartbreaking moments, including her struggle with PCOS and the loss of her 7th baby during her sextuplets pregnancy. And now, the influencer has also opened up about this. 

Kate Gosselin opens up about losing her 7th child

Kate Gosselin recently shared her pregnancy journey on social media with her fans. However, the happiest moments of her life came bearing a shadow of pain and heartbreak. According to a report by Page Six, the influencer posted a video on September 3, 2025, on TikTok as part of a six-part series in which she discusses her fertility struggles, pregnancy, and childbirth. The former Jon & Kate Plus 8 star said she was really scared when it happened. She was quoted as saying:

"We had our first ultrasound at six weeks, and there were seven babies. I think they had us come back the next week — it was either the next week or two weeks later, I couldn’t honestly remember — to see how they had progressed. In between that time, the seventh baby stopped growing."

Kate Gosselin talks about her struggle with PCOS

Kate Gosselin has been extremely candid about her struggle with Polycystic Ovary Syndrome, or PCOS, which made it difficult for her to conceive without some medical assistance. For the unversed, PCOS is a hormone disorder that affects women during their reproductive years. The influencer talked about the fear of losing her children and stated:

"Along the way, there was another emergency — besides the kidney stones, besides the hyper-stimulated ovaries before that — there was another emergency, at some point I started bleeding. "I, of course, thought this was the beginning of a miscarriage [and] I was losing them all. At some point, she just got really quiet, and I thought, 'Here we go, it’s done,' and I was really, really scared."

In the same series, Kate also revealed that for a second, she thought she would lose all her kids. She recalled waiting for the ultrasound technician to tell her what was going on, and when they told her that there were six heartbeats, she knew she had to fight for them. She stated:

"All of a sudden, she said, 'I see six.' And I said, 'You see six what?!' And she said, 'I see six heartbeats, they're there.' From that point on, I was in it. I was going to fight for them. I was going to do whatever. Not that I wasn't before, but just the fact that it was dangled, and I was threatened with losing them, made me realise how much I already loved them. So that was very miraculous."

In the comment section of one of her videos, Kate Gosselin shared that she believed that her seventh baby would have been a girl, and her name would have been Emma. Kate gave birth to six babies – Aaden, Alexis, Collin, Hannah, Joel, and Leah – in 2004. She gained widespread recognition after starring in the TLC reality show, Jon & Kate Plus 8, alongside her then-husband, Jon Gosselin, their sextuplets, and twin daughters, Cara and Mady.
