Jennifer Winget-Karan Singh Grover Are NOT Part Of 'The Traitors', Know Contestants' List, And More

The week started with the buzz about Karan Singh Grover and Jennifer Winget being roped in for Karan Johar's upcoming reality show, The Traitors. But it seems like it was just a mere rumour, as the ex-couple have not yet signed being part of the international controversial show, which is going to be launched for the first time in India. Recently, the trailer of the reality show was shared on Amazon Prime Video, and fans are going gaga over the list of contestants joining the show. 

Know all about the Indianised version of The Traitors, hosted by Karan Johar 

Karan Johar is back wearing his hosting cape in the Indian adaptation of the internationally acclaimed thrilling reality series, The Traitors. The show will feature 20 celebrity guests who will play a game of wits and deception. At the start of the show, three traitors are assigned, and they have to murder the other contestants secretly. Meanwhile, the rest of the contestants have to find the traitors and vote him/her out.

Maheep Kapoor to Anshula Kapoor, Raftaar, Raj Kundra: Meet the contestants of The Traitors

The show is set up at a grand palace, and 20 celebrity contestants from Bollywood television are going to be part of the show. The contestants' list includes Maheep Kapoor, her niece, Anshula Kapoor, Raj Kundra, Ashish Vidyarthi, Karan Kundrra, Apoorva Makhija, Lakshmi Manchu, Uorfi, Raftaar, Mukesh Chhabra, Sudhanshu Pandey, Sufi Motiwala, Nikita, Sahil Salathia, Jannat Zubair, Elnaaz Nourozi, Harsh Gujral, Janvi Gaur, and Purav Jha. 

For the unversed, twenty players would come together at a majestic palace, but among them are three traitors chosen by Karan Johar. They are on a mission to sabotage and eliminate the contestants one by one while keeping their identities hidden. During the day, the contestants complete the mission to build a massive prize pot. And in the night, the traitors murder 'eliminate' the innocent. Each episode has a tense round table, where contestants vote out a suspected traitor. As per the format, if the contestants can unmask all the traitors, they will be sharing the prize money. But if one traitor survives, he/she will walk away with the prize money. 

The Traitors' release date, prize money, and where can you watch it

Karan Johar's show will stream on the OTT platform Amazon Prime Video. The show will commence on June 12, 2025. The new episode will be released every Thursday at 8 at night. The show is an adaptation of the reality show, De Verraders, which originated in the Netherlands and has later been adopted by 30 countries globally. The Indianised version of the show is shot at a regal palace in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.  The show will host 20 contestants, who will compete with each other for a prize money of Rs. 1 crore.

Earlier, some media reports claimed that Jennifer Winget and Karan Singh Grover have been selected for Karan Johar's upcoming reality show, The Traitors. The reports claim that Karan and Jennifer have given their nod to participate in the reality show, The Traitors, which is Internationally known for its ugly spats and intense drama.
