Kangana Ranaut Reacts To Karisma Kapoor's Ex-Husband, Sunjay Kapur's Sudden Demise, 'Such Tragic..'

The sudden demise of Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband and businessman, Sunjay Kapur, is both shocking and saddening. For the unversed, Sunjay left for the heavenly abode on June 12, 2025, when he was playing polo in the UK. Recently, his close friend and Fabulous Lives vs Bollywood Wives actress, Shalini Passi reacted to the former’s sudden death and remembered her last conversation with Sunjay and his wife, Priya Sachdev. Now, Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut has also reacted to the same.

Kangana Ranaut calls Sunjay Kapur’s untimely death ‘an unbelievable event’

By taking a look at 2025, it is quite evident that this has been filled with some unavoidable happenings that took away many innocent lives, from the Pahalgam incident and Bengaluru stampede to the horrific Air India 171 crash. Amidst such mishaps, another piece of news also left everyone shocked: the untimely demise of Karisma Kapoor’s ex-husband, Sunjay Kapur, at the mere age of 53. Now, Bollywood actress, Kangana Ranaut reacted to the same. Taking to her Instagram Stories on June 13, 2025, Kangana shared that the news is nothing but an unbelievable event. Reacting to Sunjay’s sudden death, Kangana wrote:

"In another unbelievable event, Sunjay Kapur (Karisma Kapoor's ex-husband) was on the polo ground, a bee went into his mouth (yes madhumakki on the polo ground) stung him and blocked his windpipe, he couldn't breathe so he asked the game to be stopped but immediately died of a cardiac arrest. Such tragic news."

In the concluding lines of her long note, Kangana wished for everyone’s safety. The actress also shared how tired she is of finding sense in the unusual events happening this year. Sharing her concern for people, Kangana wrote:

"Also I am done trying to make sense of all the bizarre events that 2025 is bringing in to our lives. Everyone stay safe and keep praying to God."

Sunjay Kapoor was an Indian businessman and was born to Rani Kapur and the late Surinder Kapur. Sunjay’s father was the founder of Sona Comstar, which manufactured automotive components in India. From a tender age, Sunjay was expected to take over his father’s business. In 2003, he took over his father’s company, Sona Comstar, and brought significant changes to the company to make its place in the global automotive space. Now coming to his personal front, the Indian businessman, had three marriages.

Sunjay tied the knot with Bollywood actress, Karisma Kapoor in 2003. From that marriage, Sunjay had two children, Samaira and Kiaan. But not many know that before Karisma, Sunjay had a previous marriage. Sunjay got married to Nandita Mahtani, an acclaimed fashion designer in 1996. But after 4 years of marriage, the duo decided to part ways and got divorced in 2000. Later in 2016, he ended his marriage with Karisma as well. In 2012, Sunjay met his third wife, Priya Sachdev, and then, after dating for five years, the couple tied the knot in 2017. The duo had a hush-hush wedding in the presence of near and dear ones.
