Kajol Reveals Her Daughter, Nysa Does Not Want A Baby Girl, 'She Thinks Sons Are Easy'

Bollywood actress, Kajol, is a hands-on mother to two children—daughter, Nysa and son, Yug Devgan. The actress revealed that she is friends with her two kids and maintains an environment where they can share anything with her and have any kind of conversation. Kajol recently opened up about her bond with her kids and shared how her daughter, Nysa told her that she never wanted daughters. The actress shared how motherhood transformed her over time.

Kajol reveals that her daughter, Nysa, does not want to be the mother of a girl

In an interview with Instant Bollywood, Kajol shared that she has been trying to be a good mother to her children rather than being disciplined and strict. The actress shared of scolding her daughter, Nysa and told her that she would only understand things when she became a mom. Nysa replied to Kajol by saying that she would like to have sons, not daughters. The actress shared:

"She thinks sons are easy. Being friends with kids doesn’t come naturally to mothers because we devote ourselves to being mothers. We have to try hard to be friends with kids, have those uncomfortable conversations with them, and carry those uncomfortable feelings with us."

Kajol reveals it took her a lot to build her bond with Nysa and Yug

The actress rightly believes that a good parent is a good friend. Kids often do not have this intuition when it comes to their moms, who put their best foot forward in understanding what their children want and do not want. She proudly shared that she had to work a lot to make her relationship like that of a mother and friend to both children. In her words:

"I have made sure that I am a mother, but I am also open enough for my kids to come to me and tell me about their lives.”

Kajol reveals children need to speak about their relationships

Kajol shared that for parents, it was very important to listen to their kids without any judgment. When she was asked if her kids spoke about their relationships, she revealed of hoping that her kids could speak on the same and shared that Yug was very young, but with Nysa, she was open to having those kinds of conversations. Earlier, in a News18 event, when the actress was asked if Nysa would join the Bollywood film industry, Kajol squashed the claims and said:

"Bilkul nai… No, woh 22 saal ki ho gayi hai, hone wali hai abhi. I think she has made up her mind that ki nai aane wali hai abhi. Definitely not. She is 22 years old, and I think she has made up her mind that she isn’t interested in Bollywood currently."

Kajol reveals that not having any judgments when it comes to Nysa and Yug telling her about things

The Do Patti actress shared that she created a space where both Kajol and Yug feel safe to tell things that they want, and their voice is heard. She revealed that she did not judge anything when it came to matters related to her children. On the work front, Kajol is all set for her next movie, Maa, which is a horror drama movie and is a spin-off of Ajay Devgn's 2024 movie, Shaitaan.
