However, it was his son, Ajay Devgan, who turned his dream into reality and made him proud.

And while the entire B-town bid their last goodbyes, recently, his daughter-in-law, Kajol Devgan paid her tribute. On June 4, 2019, Kajol took to her Instagram handle and posted a picture with father-in-law, Veeru ji. Along with it, she wrote a heartfelt note that can be read as, "In happier times . Veeru ji led a glorious life, and his legacy will always touch millions of souls. We remember how once in an interview, he had stated that he lived his dream of becoming an actor through his son, Ajay Devgan. It was in the year 1957 when Veeru ji took the decision of entering the film industry and he came to Mumbai in the hope of becoming an actor. But he couldn't make it to the big screens as he didn't have the chocolate face which was trending at that time. And he took the vow of making his first son a hero, "After seeing my face in the mirror, I felt I was much inferior to the other strugglers. So I gave up. But I took a vow then that my first son born would become a hero."  (Also Read: Suhana Khan Adjusts Her ATM Card And Cash Inside Her Mobile Back Cover Just Like A Normal Girl)

In a throwback interview, Ajay had shared his real reason for entering into the films. He had revealed, "The reason why I am in the industry is because of my father Veeru Devgan. He was a very big action director as well as a much-respected man. As a result, I got my start in the profession when I was only 11. That was when I started editing films. I got my first break when I was 18, when I became an assistant to [director] Shekhar Kapur. He picked me from out of nowhere as he was impressed with the films I was making." (Don't Miss: Priyanka Chopra Jonas Reacts To Trolls Who Targeted Her For Posting Pics With Husband Nick Jonas)
