Kabir Bedi REVEALS He Didn't Spoke To Daughter, Pooja Bedi After His Fourth Marriage, 'She Upset Me'

Kabir Bedi first time talked about the reason for not talking to his daughter, Pooja Bedi. He revealed that he had cut off all his ties for three years after his fourth marriage to Parveen Dusanjh. The veteran actor was earlier married to Protima Bedi from 1969 to 1974, and has two children with her — Pooja Bedi and Siddharth Bedi. Following his divorce from Nikki in 2005, he married Parveen Dusanjh for the fourth time, which created a rift with his daughter, Pooja Bedi.  

Kabir Bedi recalled his misunderstanding with his daughter, Pooja Bedi 

In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Kabir Bedi recalls cutting off ties with his daughter, Pooja Bedi, for nearly three years. There were rumours that a property dispute led to their parting ways, but the father-duo never really discussed the real cause. Kabir stated that there are problems in every relationship.

While he didn't share the reason for his fallout with his daughter, he shared that they had misunderstandings, and she did things which left him upset and vice versa. But they are back together and let bygones be bygones. He shared:

"There are problems in every relationship sometimes. I don’t want to repeat the reasons again. However, there were a few misunderstandings – she did things that upset me, and I must have done things that upset her. Important cheez yeh hai ki 2-3 saal, we were separated because of disagreements. Ab vo khatam hogaye hain."

Kabir Bedi revealed that their relationship is going strong, and they share a good bond with each other. They have a lot of love and respect for each other. For the unversed, Kabir Bedi also had a son, Siddharth, who passed away while fighting with his mental health. His suicide left Kabir deeply hurt and in pain. 

When Kabir Bedi was questioned whether Pooja's rift with him was due to his fourth marriage, he stated that Parveen wasn't the only reason. He hinted that there were other reasons as well, and there were a lot of misunderstandings between them. He added that they love meeting each other on occasion, and they are living a happy life.

In January 2016, Kabir Bedi announced his third marriage to his long-time girlfriend and British-based model, Parveen Dusanj, at the age of 70. Pooja revolted with all her might. Taking to her Twitter handle, she penned a shocking reaction by directly tagging Kabir and his wife, Parveen. Moreover, what caught everyone’s attention was the fact that she tagged Parveen as her ‘evil step mother’, which went viral in no time. Her post could be read as:

“Every fairy tale has a wicked witch or an evil step-mother! Mine just arrived! @iKabirBedi just married @parveendusanj."

However, such a strong statement left her father, Kabir Bedi, deeply hurt. As a result, she had deleted her tweet and instead congratulated her father for his fourth marriage. She wished him all the best. But the damage was already done, and it was just a bandage on the wound. Her tweet could be read as:

"Deleted the last tweet on my dad @iKabirBedi 4th marriage. Let’s keep things positive. I Wish him the best!!!"
