Currently, the Sita Ramam actor is making headlines for his upcoming film, Kaantha. A while ago, the film's teaser was released on YouTube. For the unversed, the film is set to hit the big screens on September 12, 2025. Fans are excited to watch their favourite star on the big screens and also wish him for his birthday. For the unversed, Dulquer was born on July 28, 1983 and turned 42 this year in 2025.

The film is set against the nostalgic backdrop of Tamil cinema’s golden age, and features Dulquer Salmaan as 'Chandran', a renowned actor battling inner turmoil and facing professional dilemmas. The teaser showcases moody visuals and emotional undertones to portray an estranged relationship between 'Chandran' and his once mentor, 'Ayya'.

Veteran actor, Samuthirakani portrays the role of 'Ayya', a once-revered filmmaker who shaped the career of 'Chandran'. But an emotional rift between the two, has made them distant. The teaser hints at a clash of egos, professional rivalry and unresolved pain between 'Chandran' and 'Ayya'. The film’s female lead, Bhagyashri Borse, makes a dazzling entry, though her character’s arc remains mysterious.

Years passed and 'Chandran' has become a star. On the other hand, 'Ayya' is working on a film titled 'Shaantha', a female-centric story. However, it was 'Chandran's' stardom that altered the film's narrative to suit his image, eventually leading to the title being changed to Kaantha. The intense drama features Dulquer, whose character is layered with vulnerability and rage, while Samuthirakani brings gravity to the drama as a dignified director.
