Successful relationships of reality TV couples is quite rare with most of them seen breaking up with each other after the show ends. However, JoJo Fletcher and her husband, Jordan Rodgers, have defied this notion and have been together since they met on The Bachelorette in 2016. After spending a couple of years engaged, the two tied the knot in 2022. And now they have embarked on a new chapter in life by announcing that they are going to be parents soon. Amid this joyous news, here's the complete relationship timeline of JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers.
In 2016, JoJo Fletcher became the star of the dating show, The Bachelorette. Pro-footballer, Jordan Rodgers was one of the 25 bachelors who participated in the show to win her heart. However, JoJo had already started to feel a connection with the footballer and gave him a rose on the first night of filming. Just two months after they met, Jordan had proposed to the bachelorette, and she said yes. However, their engagement had to remain a secret until the episode aired three months later. Jordan had made a swoonworthy proposal to JoJo and said:
"You made me believe that love doesn't need to have scripts, and there's not one way to draw it up. There's moments like this when I'm holding your hand and I'm looking in your eyes, and I know, I'm so unbelievably in love with you. You're my best friend, you're my soulmate."
After a few days of getting engaged, the season starts airing on TV, and Jordan immediately gets embroiled in a lot of controversy. Being the younger brother of the very successful NFL player, Aaron Rodgers, people suspect that Jordan joined the show to gain fame, as his brother isn't on good terms with the family. Then, Jordan's ex-girlfriend also slams him for cheating on him and uses the hashtag 'always wanted to get famous'. In their first public appearance together, JoJo addressed the rumours and shared:
"It was difficult, I don't want to sugarcoat it. It's been very difficult. But I will say, to be able get through those things and to know that we love each other so much, and we trust each other and we have that mutual respect … He's been nothing but honest with me."
After the show ended, Jordan and JoJo crossed several significant relationship milestones. The two moved in together and also celebrated their first anniversary. Then, three years after the show ended, Jordan got down on one knee again and proposed to JoJo for a second time. Taking to his Instagram handle, the former footballer announced his second proposal and wrote:
"I love JoJo Fletcher with all my heart! I always wanted to re-propose, with no cameras, no producers, no drama...just us. Our first engagement was so real, and meant so much to us both, but as we start to actually plan our wedding for next year I wanted to do it all over again, OUR WAY!"
A few years after the second proposal, JoJo and Jordan got married in an intimate ceremony in 2022. The couple were supposed to be married even earlier but they had no choice to push the date further due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In an interview with People, JoJo talked about her wedding ans said:
