Mahhi Vij recently sat for an interview with Hauterrfly, wherein she was questioned about her separation buzz from Jay Bhanushali. She was also asked about people who question the same topic repeatedly. To this, Mahhi questioned why she should talk about it even if there has been a separation. Mahhi then further sharply asked if the people who ask such queries are from her or his family members, or would like to pay for her lawyer's fees. Mahhi can be quoted as saying:

"Agar separation hai toh bhi main kyu batau tumko? Tum mere chacha lagte ho? Mere lawyer ki fees doge ya divorce karwaoge?"

Going forward in the interview, Mahhi Vij slammed the troll, who passed unnecessary judgments on them. Mahhi shared how people often claim that she is decent and Jay is not, or maybe vice versa. She questioned people's tendency to make such harsh judgments, even without knowing anything about them. She mentioned that she now thinks that people just wait for something ugly to take place, so that they could throw mud at each other, and the rest enjoy. Mahhi didn't deny or agree to their separation buzz, while Jay remained unresponsive about the same topic. In Mahhi's words:

"They comment things like 'Mahhi is decent, Jay is like this' or 'Jay is nice but Mahhi is like that.' Who are you, really? Do you even know anything about us to judge like this? People just wait for something ugly to happen so they can say, 'Now things will get ugly and now they'll start throwing mud at each other.' But I just feel - live and let live."
