Though marriage is not on the cards for Janhvi Kapoor as she had begun her career in 2018 with Dhadak and riding high on the professional front with two films in the making, the 23-year-old starlet has already decided where she would get married and what she’ll be wearing. When Janhvi had featured on the cover page of Brides Today in 2018, she had revealed that her dream wedding destination is Florence and she wants to get married wearing a Kanjeevaram saree with all gold zari. For the cover, Janhvi had made heads turn in an ethereal red lehenga with golden embroidery and frilled choli.
Ace designer, Manish Malhotra launched his bridal collection as a close to the first-ever digital India Couture Week 2020 and the cynosure of all eyes was the Dhadak of the nation, Janhvi Kapoor. Dressed in an intricately embroidered mint green and gold lehenga and an embellished blouse with a plunging neckline, accentuated with a net dupatta with embroidered border, Janhvi made for a royal bride in magnificent gold and emerald jewellery by Manish. In matching stunning heavy neckpieces, maang teeka, earrings, bracelet and rings, Janhvi’s bridal look was completed with kohled eyes and her hair tied in a bun. Janhvi captioned her pictures as “Enjoyed this vibe” and “Can you hear the shehnayi playing or is it just me So happy I got to be a part of @manishmalhotra05 ‘s exquisite new collection @fdciofficial.”
Janhvi Kapoor was the showstopper for Manish Malhotra’s India Couture Week 2020 couture film, titled as Ruhaaniyat- a celebration called life. Manish posted the video and captioned it as “Ruhaaniyat- A celebration called life. A tribute to our diverse heritage and soulful artistry of the Indian craftsmen. In a Brides Today interview, Janhvi Kapoor had thrown some light on the qualities she is looking for in her life partner and was quoted as saying, “He should be really talented and passionate about what he does. I need to be excited and learn something from him. A sense of humour is really important as well. And, of course, he has to be obsessed with me." Speaking of the daawat she wants at her Tirupati wedding, Janhvi had said, “I want something that’s real and intimate and close to who I am. I don’t need anything big and fancy. I already know my wedding is going to be really traditional and happen in Tirupati. I’m going to wear a Kanjeevaram zari sari and there’s going to be a full daawat after the wedding with all the South Indian food that I love - idli, sambhar, curd rice, and kheer."
Even before this 23-year-old starlet had made her debut in Bollywood, she made heads turn with her sartorial picks, be it comfortable kurtas, lehengas or sharara sets. For Adwaita Nayar‘s wedding reception in 2019, Janhvi Kapoor, who’s no stranger to sultry Manish Malhotra drapes, had made us crush hard on her in lavender high-shine six-yard staple with sequin work all over it. Janhvi had paired it with a bralette-style blouse in the same violet tone. To accessorise her head-to-toe sequined look, Janhvi had picked diamond-encrusted chandelier earrings with a hint of rose gold and had decided to go for voluminous curls and subtle pink tones for her makeup.
